HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  I know, Christmas is over.  But there is some comfort here.  Know what else is over?  The wretched year that was 2020!  There's no need to go into detail here.  We all know ins and outs of it at this point.  Will things really improve?  I can't say for sure, but I'm somewhat optimistic that we'll rebound a bit.  As Howard Jones put it, "Things Can Only Get Better!"

As we go into 2021, remember kindness folks.  There's a severe lack of it in the world today and that needs to change.  We are all one people.  We triumph and we hurt all the same.  As we move on and recover, let us also not ignore the past, for there is much to learn from it.  We've all much to learn, but we are a resilient bunch.  Let the coming year be the start of something good.  I promise I'll do my part by posting moderately funny art and, God willing, maybe even have a reason to post con pics again.  The future is ours, so let's make it a good one!  Until then, my CRAZIES, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all in 2021!  Happy New Year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS CRAZIES!!! THERE'S A REASON HIS NOSE IS SO RED!!!

CHRISTMAS HAS COME!!!  Well, in two days it will anyway!  But, we're pretty far into things at this point, so may as well start celebrating now, am I right?  Since we're already in a celebratory mood here, I see no need to stretch things out.  Scroll down and have some pre-holiday laughs on me!  Enjoy...

Ever wonder how his nose got so red?  Now you know!  Rudolph likes the nog a little too much!  But after a long night like the one Rudolph goes through every Christmas Eve, can't blame the poor deer for wanting to loosen up a bit!  I am not an egg nog fan at all.  This likely stems from an early age where I mistook it for milk and well...  BLECH!!!  Needless to say, I don't keep any handy during the holidays.  Now hot cider and hot chocolate on the other hand... PLENTY of that is kept on hand!

And that's all she wrote for this week and Christmas!  I hope everybody got a kick out of the holiday themed art this year.  Next week, we'll be back with a fitting sendoff to 2020, so be sure to come back and check it out.  Christmas isn't gonna be the same this year, but we still have the spirit and will still celebrate, just in a different way.  I wanna wish all of you a very Merry and safe Christmas.  Until next time, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT KID!!!

We are back again CRAZIES!!!  And just a little over a week to go until Christmas!  Hopefully y'all are snuggled up watching some holiday classics, drinking hot chocolate and/or cider and munching on sugar cookies.  And speaking of snuggly, today's art reminds us that not all PJ's are created equally.  What do I mean?  Scroll down and you'll see!  Enjoy...

Oh boy...  We all know this tale.  All Ralphy wanted for Christmas was a Red Ryder BB gun.  Although he eventually would see his dream come true, and nearly lost an already vision-impaired eye in the process, he went through a LOT of crap just to get his payoff!  Perhaps the worse hardship he had to endure were the pink, bunny pajamas his aunt made for him.  Even in the make believe world of film, this seemed like a cruel joke.  Luckily for all of us, Peter Billingsley is a real pro, and we got one of the funniest scenes ever shot for any genre!  This, as was last week's art, was again part of my Illo_Advent drive.  One of my simpler pieces, this one got some pretty big laughs.  Might have to take some time tonight and watch A Christmas Story.  Tis the season after all!

And that's all for this week.  Be sure to come back next time as we move into the final countdown to Christmas!  I also want to encourage everybody again to donate to food and clothing banks this Christmas.  Times are tough for all, but there are a good many that have nothing at all in these already stressed times.  We are all in this together and yes, every little bit does in fact help.  Until next time, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

OH HOLY NIGHT!!! GALLAGHER MEETS HIS MATCH!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  Christmas beckons even more and hopefully y'all are finding ways to still have some holiday fun.  Baking cookies is a low risk, and delicious, way to still safely celebrate the season!  In fact, there are many seasonal treats that are enough to fill your hearts with joy in these trying times.  One "treat," however, should be avoided at all cost.  Which one?  You probably know already, but if I keep you in suspense, you'll be more inclined to scroll down and see for yourself!  Enjoy...

Fruitcake.  Hearty.  Hated.  Durable.  Few elements of this world are truly indestructible, but Fruitcake certainly makes its case here!  My Grandma Fiorentini, God bless her, would make them every year even though most of us couldn't stand them!  I, at best, could maybe handle two bites before I'd had my fill of them.  My Dad, God bless him too, and Grandma Nena loved them though.  Even after my parents split, my Grandma Fiorentini, who we all called Nana, would still make my Dad and his mom fruitcakes and date cakes every year because she knew how much they loved them.  It was a kind gesture that reminded me that despite some of the things she may have said, Nana really was a good and loving person.  She also loved to laugh and one of the people that made her laugh uncontrollably was the melon-smasher himself, Gallagher!  For those of you who don't know him, Gallagher was a comedian whose claim to fame was smashing watermelons, among other things, with a giant mallet!  One of the many jokes often thrown at fruitcake is how solid they are, and indeed, not even Gallagher's famed "Sledge-O-Matic" was enough to crack that tough exterior.  Gallagher is largely retired these days, but does do the occasional stage or TV appearance.  His act is actually pretty funny once you get past the food smashing.

And because the holiday season is in full swing, I got one more book recommendation for y'all!  My good pal Joshua Hauke is back, and this time, IT'S PERSONAL!!!  Just kidding, he actually just has a new book out, and it's gonna make you roar with approval, and laughter!  Check out Beasts To Feed Your Brother To: Vol. 1!

Got an annoying little brother but no means of permanently ditching him?  Then THIS is the book for you!  A comprehensive guide to all the various critters that hide under the bed, lurk in the closet or swim in the toilet, this book is your guide to finding, identifying and even attracting said monsters so that your home can be little brother-free!

In all seriousness, Josh Hauke is one of my closest pals in comics.  We both broke into cartooning around the same time, tabled at our first con together and have been booth-mates at many cons since and have provided each other guest comics many times over the years.  Having both grown up in large, wild families and loving cartoons, it seemed like destiny that our paths would eventually cross and it's been good times ever since!  Josh's latest book is a spinoff to his much beloved and critically acclaimed Tales of the Brothers Three, with many of the monsters featured in those comics finally getting their due!  It's a perfect book for all ages and actually makes a perfect stocking stuffer as it will actually fit in a stocking! Just keep it out of reach of Mook!  To get your copy, click the title link a few paragraphs back!

And that's all for today.  We'll be back next week with art so cozy, you'll wanna bust out your snuggliest jammies and stay in bed!  As the holidays approach, please be mindful of those that need help.  Obviously, things are tight for everyone right now, and it simply can't be helped.  But even some spare change in a Salvation Army bucket can make a world of difference if enough people help.  So, if you can, try and donate to food and clothing banks this season.  We're all in this together and every little bit helps.  Until next time, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

MERRY CHRISTMAS CRAZIES!!! DADDY DON'T LIKE!!!

Welcome to December my CRAZIES!!!  And welcome to the Holidays!  Be it Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza and so forth, all are welcome here to come celebrate the peace and joy of the season!  Things are obviously going to be very different this year, but we are a strong bunch.  We'll still find a way to make the holidays fun while staying safe.  You know who hasn't been staying safe?  The Jolly Fat Man himself, Santa Claus!  What do I mean by that?  Scroll down and see for yourself!  Enjoy...

Uh oh!  Santa snuck in MANY smooches with Mommy over the years.  We all thought it'd be a big laugh if Daddy walked in and caught them.  Turns out ol' pop is the jealous type and, well...  St. Nick might wanna use some of that elf magic right about now otherwise his belly won't be the only thing swollen on him!  This art was original part of my Illo_Advent series that I did on Twitter last year.  It got a pretty good reaction from friends and fans and indeed, it is one the rare few pieces of art that I'm 100% satisfied with.  Incidentally, it's also available as a Christmas card at my RedBubble shop!  Click here to check it out and maybe even pick up a few!

This week we have a special treat!  A book recommendation!  My good pal Joe Gillespie has a new book out, My Father Wrestles Alligators!  A while back, Joe was kind enough to do a hilarious Mike & Mindy guest comic that saw Mike reach stratospheric proportions!  Well, Joe's back and has an amazing new book to share with the whole world!

What happens when you're the youngest of six brothers?  MANY wild tales are told!  Well, that and probably an inhumane amount of noogies and wedgies too, but plenty of stories for sure!  This book is a collection of those wild tales and it's available in both paperback and digital forms!  Convenient, no?

Featuring great art, fun characters and wild action, it's a hoot for all ages to enjoy!  and seriously, look at the image directly above this text.  How can you NOT wanna read a book that features Lucha Gator?  The sirens song must be answered!  To learn more, click the title link a few paragraphs back!

And that's all for today in this first week of December!  We got a lot of fun planned for this month, so be sure to come back and check it all out, especially next week as we continue to smash through the holidays!  Speaking of the holidays, these are tough times, more so than ever.  As bad as things may seem, there are people out there who have it worse and need help.  If you can spare some, please donate to help those who need food and warm clothes during these harsh days.  Every little bit helps.  Take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

TOM TURKEY IN HOT AIR TERRORS, PT. 4

WOOHOO!!!  Tomorrow is THE day!  Turkey!  Stuffing!  Potatoes!  Pie!  I know it'll be different from what we are used to, but a good meal is still always a welcome thing regardless of what's going on!  And honestly, how can I be sad when I got +30 hours of MST3K at my disposal?  So yeah, some things may be different this year, but a few things thankfully remain intact.

You know what else remains intact?  The never-ending battle between bird and kids that is Tom Turkey and the Brat Twins!  Last week, Tom pulled the tape from their bulging faces after the Buoyant Bullies finally caught him.  Are Tom's days numbered?  Let's all scroll down and find out together!  What?  You think I actually know happens in advance?  I'm as in the dark as you are!  Enjoy...

And they're off!  Ol' Tom is always a step or two ahead of his enemies, and with the amount of helium he pumped into Billy and Dorothy, he'll likely be MANY steps ahead of those kids, depending on where they land!  But THAT, my friends, is a story for another day!

And that is a wrap on Tom Turkey's latest escape and on NOVEMBER 2020!  Hope y'all enjoyed this year's tale.  It's always fun coming up with gags for a turkey that's actually smart!  What does the future hold for Ol' Tom?  We'll find out next November!  And next week, Christmas comes to the CRAZYVERSE, so stay "Tooned!"  In the meantime, have a fun, happy and SAFE Thanksgiving.  This is a time where we all need to be cautious folks, so please take the necessary steps to ensure that a wonderful and safe experience can happen.  And do donate to a local food bank.  Every little bit helps.  Until next time, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

TOM TURKEY IN HOT AIR TERRORS, PT. 3

WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  One week to go before Turkey Day!  So little to do and so much time!  Wait a minute, strike that, reverse it!  So yes, Thanksgiving is next week and all month long we've been celebrating with Tom Turkey, despite the fact that he's actually in a world of trouble right now!  Billy and Dorothy Brat have closed in on him and are angry, determined and inflated; as dangerous a combination as any!  Have the Puffed Problem Children FINALLY caught their meal?  Well, y'all know the only way you'll ever find out is to scroll down and see for yourselves!  Enjoy...

Youch!  That had to sting!  Imagine ripping off a bandaid and multiplying that by 12!  But that might be the least of the Brat Twins' problems right now.  The only thing holding back all that gas is now gone...  Tom Turkey may have just gotten another pardon.  Will he live to see another Thanksgiving or will the Brat Balloons FINALLY inhale their coveted meal?  The exciting conclusion is coming next week!

That's all for now, but next week is well worth a return visit, so come see how the story and November ends!  In the meantime, stay safe and help those in need in these tough times.  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

TOM TURKEY IN HOT AIR TERRORS, PT. 2

Welcome back!  Thanksgiving ain't too far off now!  Y'all excited?  I know I am!  I've even bought some bigger pants for the occasion!  I'm also in the process of hand-selecting 15 Joel-era MST3K episodes so that I can have a proper Turkey Day Marathon.  Tradition is tradition after all!  Speaking of tradition, Tom Turkey is back and continuing his battle with the Brat Twins!  The Bully Blimps were slowly closing in last time, but is Tom aware of the danger slowly floating his way?  Scroll down and see!  Enjoy...

Uh oh!  The Buoyant Babes have closed in and they don't look all too pleased with the bird responsible for their bloated figures!  Tom's never been in a scrape this tough before, and his quick mouth seems to have stalled! Does this wily poultry have any tricks left up his feathered sleeve?  Hopefully next week will yield a positive answer!

That's all she wrote for now, but fear not!  This maniacal trio still has a little bit of fun planned for next week, so be sure to come back and check it out!  In the meantime, stay safe and think of others.  There are some in need of meals this season and every little bit helps. Take care and I'll catch y'all later!

TOM TURKEY IN HOT AIR TERRORS, PT. 1

Welcome to November CRAZIES!!!  Hope y'all aren't still crashing too hard from all the Halloween candy you hopefully snagged over the weekend.  Things were a bit different this year, be we still found ways to safely celebrate a cherished holiday, and you know what?  We're gonna find a safe way to celebrate our next cherished holiday as well, because Thanksgiving is now on deck, and I'll be damned if Turkey Day doesn't get its due!

Now, it's no secret to long time readers that I am absolutely CRAZY about Thanksgiving!  The food, the family, the parades...  It's my favorite day of the year by far!  We all have our annual traditions that we look forward to come the fourth Thursday every November, and the CRAZYVERSE is no exception!  For a few years now, a certain wily gobbler has found new and creative ways to escape his would-be captors, and this year is no different!  That's right folks, Tom Turkey is back and once again ready to go to war with those vile Brat Twins, Dorothy and Billy!  Tom certainly sent the kids flying their last go around, but can he keep his hopes of surviving another Thanksgiving afloat?  Scroll down and find out!  Enjoy...

When we last left them, Tom had tricked the devious dolts into letting him inflate them like parade balloons after he convinced them their scrawny bellies were far too small to hold a bird his size.  But what goes up eventually comes down, and Tom may have gotten a little too confident after his victory.  The Twins seem to be losing altitude as some of that gas escapes!  Will Tom turn around in time or is he destined for the bellies he ironically fits into now?  Come back next week and find out!

And that's it for this first week of November.  Be sure to come back next Wednesday and see what those nasty Brat Twins have in store for Tom Turkey!  In the meantime, stay safe and do think of others as we approach the holidays.  People have fallen on harder times than ever before and every little bit helps, be it your pocket change in a Salvation Army bucket or a donation to a food bank.  Let's all get through this together.  Take care and I'll catch y'all later!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! GO BLUE WITH SPLUE!!!

The Witching Hour has arrived!  Halloween is this Saturday!  While things are gonna be a bit different this time around, there's still a lotta fun to be had.  There's no rule saying we can't still carve pumpkins and eat candy!  Even Mike and Mindy came out of cartoon retirement for the occasion, giving a nod to their successors, Bubble Fox and Willow!  Looks like the wily foxes had a similar idea about their predecessors as well!  Since it's Halloween, this seems like a good week for a monster, and luckily, I happen to have one!  Time to end October with some style!  Enjoy...

It's Splue, the bear-lizard-crawdad creature!  He's a friendly monster who enjoys long walks and J-Crew clothing!  He also knows his way around a trumpet!  Splue was another MonstersGo character that I did for the Twitter collective a few years back.  I particularly enjoyed drawing this one because he's blue, and that's my favorite color.

And that's a wrap for October!  Come back next week and we'll see what our old pal Tom Turkey is up to now that November's here! Where Tom goes, the Brat Twins usually aren't too far behind!  Until then take care and please stay safe.  Trick-or-Treating is likely still gonna happen in many towns, so proceed with the utmost caution if you go out.  Happy Halloween and I'll catch y'all later!

HE'S IPPITY UPPITY!!!

Welcome to a new day CRAZIES!  We are another week closer to Halloween, which will be a bit different this year, but we'll find ways to make do.  Sometimes, it's the simpler things that are the best.  But enough preaching, you all want art!  Well, Warren, Kim and Dana do, but I'm sure there are others who want too see this week's monster as well, so without further delay, please scroll drown!  Enjoy...

It's Ippity! He's hip hop and won't stop... That's about the extent of my rap game y'all.  Another MonstersGo entry, Ippity wasn't the most colorful of monsters, but boy was he easy to draw, color and correct in post, thus making him my favorite of this month's entries!  I could totally see this monster becoming a plush doll given away as a carnival game prize!

Well, three down and one post left to go this month.  How will we wrap up October 2020?  You'll have to return next week and see for yourselves!  But it'll be worth it!  In addition to another monster, a few old pals will be stopping by for a seasonal greeting as well, so be sure to come back and check it out!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

THE TWEAP AIN'T CHEAP!!!

We are back!  The witching hour is almost at hand... Well, okay, it's actually a little over two weeks away, but time flies these days and it'll definitely be here soon!  Luckily, we still have some monsters to ties us over until then, so lets get a move on see what's in store for this week!  Enjoy...

The Tweap.  Part duck, part alligator, part Bert, this guy really gets his kicks with his stylish wardrobe!  This was another theme from MonstersGo and one of the more simple ones I drew, which is always appreciated as time was sometimes a luxury back in the better days of a full work schedule.  The kids that came up with these monsters had a real sense of colors and how to use them too.  It really was a lot of fun to color these.

And that's all for this week.  The fun continues into next Wednesday when yet another colorful monster makes his way to the CRAZYVERSE!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

Wednesday, October 7, 2020

DO YOU SMELL WHAT THE SMAG IS COOKING?!?

Welcome to October CRAZIES!!!  Pumpkin Spice season is in full swing and the creatures that go bump in the night have come out to play as well!  Hopefully y'all have found ways to still have some kind of spooky fun so far.  While we're on the subject of spooky, what could be spookier than monsters?  Vampires?  Zombies?  Yeah, I reckon those are spookier, but dammit, I want Monsters and THAT is what we are going with this month!  So scroll down and get ready to scream with monstrous delight!  Enjoy...

Meet the Smag!  He's pink and blue and ALL attitude!  Don't leave any candy out with this one running around.  He feeds off of the colorful, candy-coated goodness!  Today's entry, as well as the other entries in the coming weeks, came from a Twitter collective known as MonstersGo.  Each week, a monster drawn by a kid was posted on Twitter for all to draw in their own distinctive styles.  It was a pretty fun collective that I took part in for a while until I just couldn't keep up with all the different collectives anymore.  I obviously have more time these days, but that's a story for a different day!

Well, that's all for this first week of October.  We'll be back next time with some more imaginative fun with a colorful monster!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

ELF!!! I NEED SOMEBODY!!!

Well, we've come to the end of September.  Literally as a matter of fact!  The future still isn't clear, but I do know one thing: The Holiday Season is upon us as the countdown to Halloween is on!  I know the world's in rough shape right now, but I can't help but be excited over the festivities that are on the way!  Outside of my annual holiday trips to Disneyland, I don't really do too many social gatherings during the holidays anyway, so things really won't be all that different for me under current circumstances.  But enough about that.  You want art and I'm here to deliver!  Enjoy...

ELVES!!!  How many of us have them?  Well, not many, unless you're Santa Claus, or own an oak tree bakery or happen to be a poor, tired old shoemaker.  In those cases, you might have many elves hanging around the premises.  Our last entry for this month was another subject for Animal Alphabets.  Elves are almost always synonymous with Christmas, so for this entry, I decided to take the shoemaking approach.  And although he's still dressed more like he came from a North Pole workshop, make no mistake about it, this Elf's a world class cobbler!

And that's a wrap on September 2020.  Be sure to come back next week as we kickoff October with some monstrous fun just in time for Halloween!  Until then, stay safe, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

Wednesday, September 23, 2020

HE AIN'T NO GIMLI!!!

Welcome back!  Ya know?  It's actually pretty fitting that this month has featured characters of fairy tale lore as the haunting season is nearly upon us!  It certainly gets me in the mood for the spooky fun that is to come!  Of course, these characters aren't all that scary, but not everything has to be.  Some things just need to be fun.  Enjoy...

Today's subject is Dwarf Long Nose.  Admittedly, I'm not too familiar with this character, but his rather literal name was pretty much all the fuel I needed to come up with a drawing of him for Animal Alphabets.  He doesn't seem like the type of dwarf that would help Snow White stay out of harm's way nor does he seem like one of the badass Middle Earth dwarves that battle it out with goblins and orcs.  He could have a bright future as a cereal pitchman though if Kellogg's ever phases out Toucan Sam!

Well, only one week left in September.  How will it end?  You'll just have to get some cookies, slip on some comfy shoes and come back and see for yourself!  Until then, stay safe, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

Wednesday, September 16, 2020

IF HE ONLY HAD SOME RAID!!!

Well, it's the middle of the month and Fall is more or less officially upon us.  Things are obviously a bit different this year, but some things are still the same.  Pumpkin spice everything has permeated store shelves.  Sweaters are starting to be worn outside in some places.  Some folks, like me, are even starting to put out their Halloween decorations!  Some traditions are still safely happening and will continue to happen, just like my weekly art posts!  So scroll down if you're feeling brave enough and enjoy...

Sheesh Cowardly Lion, even my mom isn't THAT scared of a little spider!  Even if the Wizard had been a real wizard, I doubt he could've helped this beast!  Another Animal Alphabets entry, the Cowardly Lion represented the letter C in this round.  This wasn't one of my more sophisticated efforts, but it did get a pretty good reaction on Twitter, so that was cool!

Another week passes into history here at the CRAZYVERSE.  Be sure to come back next week for the long short of this month's posts.  Until then, stay safe, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

Wednesday, September 9, 2020

BIG BAD'S BIG PROBLEM!!!

We are back CRAZIES!!!  I know you are all just eager to see what today's art will be.  The pressure's so strong, it feels like some of you might pop even!  Well, I don't want burst anybody's bubble, so let's scroll down a bit and feel some relief.  Enjoy...

That Big Bad Wolf sure is full of himself.  If the Practical Pig had been smart enough to build a house out of bricks, then certainly he was smart enough to also find a way to puncture that wolf's overly inflated ego too!  This is another entry from Animal Alphabets' fairy tale round and the first actual animal of the bunch!  The original balloon animal, it wasn't hard to figure out a gag to go with this subject.  If he were smart, he'd either back away slowly or quickly exhale!

And so ends this week's silliness.  Next time, we'll be covering another subject who's largely hot air, with a roar that's worse than his bite.  Until then, stay safe, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

Wednesday, September 2, 2020

ADVENTURES WITH ALICE!!!

Welcome to September CRAZIES!!!  Well, things are still in a secluded state, but we're soldiering on here as best we can.  I don't know what the future holds, but I'll be doing my best to carry on and give you folks something to look forward to every week, and this week is no exception.  So let's get on with the show and take a look at today's art.  Enjoy...

Careful Alice.  Those wonderland mushrooms have been known to have some pretty weird side effects!  Today's art comes from Animal Alphabets who, for their fourth theme, decided to go with creatures of the fairy tale realm.  Exactly how Alice, a human, fit the creature description is a little above my comprehension, but she was fun to draw and honestly, I'm always looking for reasons to draw giant mushrooms, so it all works out fine!

Well, that's all for today.  We'll be back next time with a fairy tale icon so big, you'll be huffing and puffing just to keep up with him!  Until then, Atay safe, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

Wednesday, August 26, 2020

"OWL" BE HEADING INTO THE FALL!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  Informally, it's the last week of summer, though most schools would've already been back in school at this point.  Even before these current times, most schools no longer did a full summer vacation.  Of course, when you're an adult with a really relaxed work schedule, summer vacation is pretty pointless!  But, tradition is tradition, and as we head into the fall, we may as well head in with a bird often associated with the coming season.  So prep your pumpkin spice and sweaters because it's time to have a hoot!  Enjoy...

It's an owl!  And not just any owl, it's Simon Uter (Pronounced OOH-ter)!  Longtime Bubble Fox fans will recognize Simon as one of the earlier side characters of the BF universe.  He was a scientist who's experiments often led to painful consequences to its test subjects as Bubble found out while trying to learn how to fly!  He hasn't appeared in a while, but he was a fan favorite, so when PinchPunchPost put out an Owl theme, I had to use him!  Who knows? Maybe he'll pop in again in the comics someday.  One can only hope!

And that's a wrap on August 2020.  Thank you all so much for taking some time to check these posts out.  I realize these times are stressful but we gotta stay strong.  I hope in some small way my art has provided a nice escape from the harsh realities of things.  I also hope that good news is around the corner and some semblance of normalcy can be restored.  Be sure to come back next week so we can kick September off on the right foot!  Until then, take care, stay safe, stay strong and I'll catch y'all later!

DON'T TOUCH HER RIBBON!!!

We are back and halfway through August.  Not a very typical summer in any respect, but we are still here and as such, I still got some art to post.  If kittens with attitude are your cup of tea, then boy are you in luck today!  Why?  Scroll down and see!  Enjoy...

Uh oh.  When a cat twitches its tail like that, that's usually a sign that it is time to move on!  Attack kitties can be quite dangerous when provoked and will often go right after your big toe!  It certainly does pay to keep some pouncy treats and catnip on hand for just such an occasion.  Today was another entry from the Twitter art collective PinchPunchPost.  The theme was a cat, and having been around them most of my life, inspiration didn't take long to strike with this one.  Cats are some of the goofiest critters around and it's not hard to see why so many cartoonists use them.  They are living cartoon characters!

Well, one more week to go and then August 2020 will be in the books.  Come back next week and see how it all wraps up before fall!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

WHITE BEFORE LABOR DAY!!!

We are back CRAZIES!!!  Limping through August, but still hanging in there!  We got even more inspired silliness to share with you today, so let's cut the chit chat and hop right in!  Enjoy...

Sheesh Rabbit!  If it weren't for the belly and ears, you'd be nothing more than a floating face!  But honestly now, who DOESN'T enjoy a good marshmallow square every once in a while?  Today's theme came from PinchPunchPost back in 2016.  Simply put, it was a white rabbit, so I decided to have a little more fun with it and add some milk and a marshmallow square for good measure.  For those wondering why I didn't throw any mayonnaise in for added laughs, well, mayonnaise is just straight disgusting!  The mere thought of it is... BLECH!!!

That's all for this week, but fear not!  We're letting the cat out of the bag next time for some real fun!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

BUBBLE AND PALS FLOAT FOR A PAL!!!

Welcome to August CRAZIES!!!  Hopefully you are all staying safe and finding ways to be occupied.  Not a whole lot of new things to report on any front, but I do have some new (To this blog!) art to share with you all, so why not slip right in, eh?  Enjoy...

Oh Bubble, Bubble, Bubble...  That's no way to treat your friends!  I know you promised Jenna some balloons for her birthday, but wouldn't it have been easier to just buy some instead of inflating Picpak Dog and Mr. Blob?  Of course the answer is YES, but it's much more fun this way!  This was a birthday greeting on Twitter I did for my dear friend, Jenna Belding.  Jenna is the sister of Picpak Dog creator Kim Belding, who's certainly no stranger to these CRAZY parts having done numerous guest comics and fan art over the years.  When it's somebody's birthday, we always try to do a little something for our pals to give them a good laugh and what's funnier than root beer and cartoon balloons?  Hopefully Jenna still remembers this and still gets a good chuckle out of it!

Well, that's all for now.  We'll back next week with some new art that could definitely use a bit of color.  Until then,  take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

YETI, YETI, YE-TAAAAAAY!!!

Well, here are at last, the end of July.  Whether things are improving right now is anyone's guess, but hope must always remain.  All I know is, I got some art to share, and hopefully y'all will get a kick out of it.  Features a few special guests even!  Enjoy...

Where to begin with this one?  If you know web comics and wrestling, this one will make a LOT more sense, especially 90's wrestling.  We all know Bigfoot, Yeti and Evan Yeti, as they're all web comic benchmarks and I've done fan art of those characters in the past.  The guy on the far right however is also called the Yeti, or Ye-tay as longtime WCW announcer Tony Schiavone called him.  In 1995, WCW put together a group of monster heel wrestlers and called them the Dungeon of Doom.  Their lone purpose was to rid WCW of Hulk Hogan.  It was a plan similar to how the WWF had booked Hogan, putting unstoppable monsters before him that made the fans believe they might actually pose a threat to the Hulkster.  WCW, however, largely concerned themselves with stroking Hogan's ego and just had him absolutely demolish every member of what became a rather large revolving door of the stable.  In the weeks prior to Halloween Havoc '95, the Dungeon's Taskmaster, Kevin Sullivan, wheeled out a giant block of ice to shows and claimed that the Yeti was coming for Hulk Hogan.  On the night of the show, the ice broke and indeed, someone was there to attack.  But instead of a large, hairy creature of Himalayan myth coming out to attack, a large mummy lead the charge and proceeded to have his way with Hulkamania.  I'd go into further detail, but words really do this post no justice.  Just look it up on YouTube folks.  There's bound to be at least one uncut video that WWE's lawyers haven't ordered off yet!  This was another entry for Animal Alphabets and one of my favorites to work on.  Vince Dorse, Jeff Crowther and Mat Washburn are all very good friends and I'm always happy to draw up some fan art for them and should do it more often quite frankly.  Bad wrestling, or Wrestlecrap, is also another fun subject, especially the goofier stuff from the past.  This art got a good response on Twitter.  I was pretty surprised to see how many people knew of this infamous wrestling angle that even Hulk Hogan himself expressed embarrassment over.  We can all look back and have a laugh at it now at least.

And that's a wrap for the month of July.  We'll be back next time with more CRAZY fun and hopefully maybe even some good news.  Please take care of yourselves and stay safe.  Until next time, I'll catch y'all later.

XIXI ZHI YU... TRY SAYING THAT ONE FIVE TIMES FAST!!!

Well, today is a somber day for me.  Tonight, I would've been enjoying Preview Night at Comic Con.  We all know the state of things and I only hope by next summer we can all see some semblance of normalcy.  For now, I offer whatever relief or escape my art can give, so I hope y'all will still scroll down and see what's swimming up.  Enjoy...

Today folks, we explore the Xixi Zhi Yu, a creature originally of Chinese mythology.  Usually depicted as a fish with ten wing-like fins and spines, it was said that they could cure jaundice.  Given that fish with that many spines and fins on them are typically very highly toxic, I would imagine the Xixi Zhi Yu could cure quite a few things in an unintended way!  This fish would definitely fall under the Look-Don't-Touch department when coming across one.  Another Animal Alphabets entry, this one was another rather simple effort.  Some entires are more elaborate than others as more astute readers have likely noticed.  A large part of that depends heavily on how much time I have to work on things.  If I'm super busy with the day job or comics, I tend to just jot something down very quickly.  It's not particularly fair to the theme, but time for the most part is often at a premium.  Not so much now, but those days will return again I'm sure.

And that's it for this week.  We'll be back next time to wrap up the month of July with a quadruple dose of CRAZY antics!  So be sure to come back and check it out!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

TRUNK TALK WITH THE TREEFOLK!!!

We are back!  Midway through the month of July now!  Normally I would've been gearing up Comic Con next week, but we all know how that went.  It still stings.  Aside from going, it's a huge part of my income that ain't happening now.  I don't know what the future holds, but I know I got some art to share, so let's get this show on the road, eh?  Enjoy...

Treefolk.  Some of you may know them as Tree Herders or, for those that are big followers of Middle Earth mythology, you may even call them Ents.  Regardless of the name, they are the shepherds and guardians of the forests.  It is their job to nurture and protect the plants and animals that call the woodlands home.  And as Saruman the White learned, they do not take kindly at all to those that do harm to their charges.  Of course, being a living tree does have its drawbacks, namely creatures nesting on the branches of slower moving ents.  Considering some of the other critters that nest from tree branches, a family of possums is the lesser of all evils!  This was another Animal Alphabets entry and I really enjoyed drawing this one.  Besides the possibilities that a living tree brings, I've always had a soft spot for possums.  They got an ugly cute quality to them.  Baby possums are also the most adorable things ever!  Don't let the grime and scuzzy nature fool you, possums are great!

That's all for this week.  We'll be back next time with a mythical critter that really puts the alphabet to good use!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

SOCK IT TO THE SUIKO!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  Another post is upon us.  Hopefully y'all are staying safe and healthy and finding ways to enjoy your time.  Lord knows I've been having to get creative in fighting boredom recently.  We got another funny piece of art to share with you, so why not dive right in, shall we?  Enjoy...

The Suiko, a scaly, child-like creature of Japanese mythology that's often depicted to be bluish in color with fangs, webbed hands and spikes growing out of their knees.  They are also often depicted as preferring swim around in the buff, so a little bit of artistic license had to be taken to keep this PG!  Another entry from Animal Alphabets, this was one of my simpler pieces, but it was fun to color and got a lot of praise on Twitter.  Though I do question how practical those spiked knees would rally be.  Seems like they'd hurt more than help!

Well, that's a wrap for now.  We'll be back next time with a creature that really walks tall!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

RAINBOW ROAD TO THE RAINBOW SERPENT!!!

Welcome to July CRAZIES!!!  Hopefully, you all are staying safe and healthy and seeing some kind of improvement in your towns.  Obviously, things are gonna be quite different this weekend, compared to past 4th of July celebrations, but I'm confident we'll all find a way to have some kind of fun.  We may not have fireworks right now (well, legal ones at least), but I still got some loud, explosive colors for you, so scroll down and take a gander at some analog color by way of digital distribution!  Enjoy...

TheRainbow Serpent!  More than just a brightly colored snake, this colorful reptile is a deity in Australian Aboriginal cultures.  Believed to be a bringer of life, it's been said that when rainbows appear, it's the serpent himself leaving one watering hole for the next.  Being a lover of all things reptilian, it didn't take much coaxing to get me to draw this one when Animal Alphabets picked this subject.  Not much of a gag, but I was okay with it.  It got a great response on Twitter and now, dear CRAZIES, the polished version is here for all to enjoy!

That's a wrap for today.  Be sure to come back next week for more silly shenanigans from the House of CRAZY!  Also, DO be careful this weekend.  Even without a pandemic, the 4th of July has a bad habit of leading to serious injury due to some people having a little too much fun.  Fireworks are illegal in many states for good reason, so please use caution, especially when alcohol is involved! Until then, take care, stay safe and happy 4th of July!  Catch y'all later!

THE QUEST FOR THE QUESTING BEAST...

Well, we've come to the end of June.  Not sure what the state of the world is at the moment, but hopefully, it's on the upswing.  What I can tell you though is that I got some wild art today that'll hopefully bring y'all a smile or two.  So sit back, relax and take a look at some CRAZY art for these CRAZY times!  Enjoy...

The Questing Beast.  A creature with the head of a snake, the body of a leopard, the legs of a deer and tail of a lion, it's a VERY old creature of English folklore.  It's been said during King Arthur's early years, before he was king even, he encountered the Questing Beast as another king hunted it.  Arthur came across this beast and king several more times throughout his life and at no time did his royal counterpart ever come close to catching the creature, nor did anybody else, hence its title of a Questing Beast: Just going after it was a quest in its own right!  I'm sure there's more to this legend than that, but even Professor Wikipedia doesn't always fill in all the details!  Another Animal Alphabets entry, this one was fun to draw, despite not having much more to it than its pose.  His quip certainly got a rise out of the folks on Twitter, so I'll call it a win still!

Well, that's a wrap on June 2020.  Since there's no Comic Con next month, or County Fair to gorge myself on, I'm just gonna keep on posting mythical animals if that's alright with you fine folks?  It is?  Good!  I'll just keep at it!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

DON'T MAKE HIM ANGRY... YOU WOULDN'T LIKE THIS BIRD WHEN HE'S ANGRY!!!

And we're back!  Halfway through June and hopefully things are improving around the world.  If there's been any silver lining to all this time off, it's that it has given me a chance to really spread my wings artistically.  As of this writing, I'm working on a small clay figure, a mask and a kitbashed spaceship, in addition to the regular comics and art.  Depending on how some of these art projects go, I might be doing blog posts on them down the road!  But that's in the future, right now, we are in the present, though I'm typing this in the past!  Time paradoxes aside, let's jump into today's art, shall we?  Enjoy...

The Phoenix, the legendary fire bird.  Beautiful, powerful and immortal, this colorful creature of myth never dies.  When its time comes, this bird bursts into flames and is then born again from its own ashes, stronger than ever and ready for another lifetime.  Think of it as Groundhog Day, only an entire life keeps repeating itself even after a lesson is learned!  Another entry from Animal Alphabets, this one wasn't my most spectacular piece, as there isn't really a gag and the dialogue only hints at what might come.  Still, I loved coloring this one as it has a really cool rainbow look to it and sometimes, simple is best.

Well, that's all for now.  We'll be back next week to send June off into the sunset with a beast that is even more elusive than the fabled barking spider!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

MERMAID GENTICS... THEY AIN'T PRETTY!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  Hopefully y'all are staying safe and strong as we continue to recover.  Time marches on here as it does elsewhere.  If you happen to be in need of a laugh or two, just scroll down the page a bit and take a peek!  Hopefully the laughs will expand more than the subject's posterior did!  Enjoy...

Watch out Dad!  She's gonna blow!  More!  If you're gonna be half human, half fish, then you're bound to have some variety at some point!  I mean, look at how mermaids are typically portrayed:  Human top with a generic fish tail.  Surely they are more complex than that?  Well, today's art shows that yes they are!  'Course, now I'm curious as to what the rest of her family tree might look like!  This was another Animal Alphabets theme and boy was this one fun to do.  This could stand alone as a single panel comic strip in a newspaper.  When I started out, I was scared to do single-panel gags because I didn't think I could nail a story in such a short frame.  I'm not on Gary Larson's level, but I think I've gotten pretty good with the single-panel medium.  The reaction this one got was very satisfying.  Everybody got a kick out of this spoiled, swollen mermaid!

Well, that's all for now.  We'll be back next week with some colorful new art that you may find a little hot around the collar.  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

WELCOME TO THE NEW JUNE, SORRY FOR THE LACK OF COMIC CON...

Welcome, my CRAZIES, to the month of June.  For those that don't read any of textual parts of this blog, you're no doubt noticing the lack of a Comic Con header right now.  Well, that's because there won't be a Comic Con this year.  It's old news at this point, but it still stings.  I went through pure emotional hell to get reverified for this year and beyond, only for this to happen.  I'd like to say it's not the end of the world only, it looks like it might actually be this time around.  The silver lining is that things do seem to be improving in San Diego as far as the crisis is concerned.  Numbers are going down and even some places have safely been able to open up again.  Will it last?  Will things continue to improve?  I have no definitive answers there.  But I know I'll do my best to stay safe and help my friends and family stay safe as well.  We're all in this together and we'll all come out of it at some point.

In the meantime, while I won't be doing the CRAZY COMIC CON COUNTDOWN this year, I'm still going to post my art and offer whatever amusing quips and tales that I can to help make y'all laugh.  A smile can be a powerful thing sometimes, and I'm gonna do my darnedest to make that happen for everybody.  It's a small gesture, but it's the best I can do.  Well, I think I've rambled on long enough.  I promised art and laughs, so let's get to it!  Enjoy...

Talk about being the butt of the joke?  The Kraken has been cracked by some little cracks!  Mike and Mindy were such cheeky little squirts.  Is it any wonder they were always a little behind the times!  Ive heard of bringing up the rear, but this is ridiculous!  I'd hate to see how this mythic squid reacts to a real full moon!  Okay, okay, I think that's enough butt puns for a month!  This entry, as well as the rest for this month, comes from Animal Alphabets, who at the time were doing a mythical creatures theme.  One particular week, the mighty Kraken was chosen.  A creature of Nordic mythology, the Kraken has long been depicted as an insanely large squid with many tentacles, though in Clash of the Titans, the Kraken was given a more humanoid appearance by the late, great Ray Harryhausen.  Being the immature grown man that I am, I HAD to turn this into one giant butt gag!  It's a rule of comedy that butts are funny.  Adding a second butt only doubled the laughs and indeed, this did get a pretty good reaction on Twitter that week.  I could literally come up with the most genius thing ever, and it will get nary a reaction.  I draw something involving a butt or flatulence, and it celebrated as the greatest thing of all time!  Oh to be human...

Well, I think that's good for today.  Sorry to sound so preachy at the start of today's post.  Guess it just had to be said.  We'll be back next week with some new art that I hope you will find fun and buoyant. Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

THE BIG, BILLOWING, BLOATED, BALLOONY BLOWFISH!!!

We are back!  It's the end of the month and I saved the biggest laughs for last!  I know y'all are feeling the buildup right now and the pressure's pretty strong, so I'll end the teasing and innuendos right now and give you all some relief!  And with that, enjoy...

Aw, the blowfish, or pufferfish to those that think they're cute.  Living balloons that are always there to cheer us up.  These breathing cartoon gags are the clowns of the oceans, though the real trick is on any predator that tries to eat one, because if their spines aren't a good enough deterrent, their highly toxic flesh definitely is!  Though fugu is a delicacy in many sushi restaurants, it takes a very skilled hand to prepare it.  I do loves me some sushi, especially a rainbow roll, but I don't want "Killed by a balloon" to be in my obituary someday, so I'll stick with the less harmful fish!  Pinch Punch Post put out this theme yet again, and I'll tell ya, there was some very well-rounded art on Twitter that day.  It wasn't a stretch to say we all expanded our horizons!

And that's a wrap for the month of May.  As of this writing, things haven't been all that merry, but every day is a new day.  I hope in some small way, these art posts have offered some relief and that June will give us all some good news to look forward to.  Until next time CRAZIES, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later.

CAREFUL!!! THEY SPIT!!!

Well, here we are, screen to screen.  What?  Did ya think I was gonna bust into the Silver Spoons theme?  I barely even remember what the plot was!  Wanna know what plot I do remember?  Jurassic Park!  Now THAT was a movie!  Hard to believe we are almost coming up on 30 years since it came out!  Seeing that on the big screen was pure movie magic.  My nine-year-old mind was totally blown and just wanted to keep watching it!  Damn near wore out my VHS copy even!  We all had our favorite dinosaurs in it, but which one was my favorite?  Scroll down dear reader and you shall see the answer!  Enjoy...

The Dilophosaurus.  Small, colorful and not particularly screen accurate!  They were bird-like and did have the ridges on their heads, but that's where the accuracies more or less end.  In reality, these dinosaurs were considerably bigger than the relatively small one that Wayne Knight encounters.  It's also highly doubtful they could spit slime.  Whether they had neck frills or not isn't really known.  Skin impressions for dinosaurs are fairly rare, so that one might be true.  Guess we'll never know.  Still, it looked great on screen and was a lot of fun to draw.  Much like the previous two entries, along with next week's, this came from the wonderful minds at Pinch Punch Post.  I think they just had a dinosaur theme, and I chose the Dilophosaurus to try and stand out.  It worked, as this one got a lotta looks on Twitter!

And that's all for this week!  Be sure to come back next time as we give May 2020 a sendoff so big, it's literally bursting!  The pressure may get to you even, so try and keep calm.  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

THE SWIFT SEA TURTLE!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  Think we could all use a bit of the beach right now.  The sand, the sun, the sea gulls swapping food and crapping on everything...  Okay, maybe not that last part, but sand, sun and surf always puts me in a good mood as do those wonderful shelled critters known as sea turtles!  These guys aren't as slow as you'd think!  Don't believe me?  Scroll down and see for yourself!  Enjoy...

See?  These reptiles are quite swift under the waves.  That blowfish certainly thinks so!  Turtles have always held a special place in my heart.  Kind and gentle, you'd have to be made of stone not to love these creatures.  When Pinch Punch Post made them their monthly subject some time ago, I jumped at the chance to draw one.  This particular sea turtle is a leatherback, though in hindsight, I don't think they have ridges along where the upper and lower shells meet.  Hey, an artist is allowed a little creative license, right?

That's all for today dear CRAZIES.  We got some prehistoric fun coming next week that'll hopefully spew forth in laughs, so be sure to come back and give it a look.  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

THE RAMBLIN' RHINO!!!

Hey CRAZIES!!!  We're back with a new month!  I'd like to say there's some good news to report, but, sadly, we're all under quarantine still.  Has some progress been made?  Some, yes, but not enough to salvage a few a few things.  Comic Con and the Del Mar/Sand Diego County Fair have been canceled, as has WonderCon, formally abandoning its postponement.  This news hurts a lot folks, but it is what it is.  Hopefully, happier days are on the way and we can all return to some form of normalcy.  I shall try my best to offer y'all some relief, or as much relief as my goofy art can muster.  Having said that, let's dive in, shall we?  Enjoy...

Here we have a Rhino!  Not just any rhino, but a southern white rhino, given its grayish color and more come-like horns.  Northern white rhinos have rather odd shaped horns that look more like rock shards while black rhinos more closely resemble their southern white cousins, only with darker skin.  All three share a bond though: They are all endangered, critically in some cases, and need our help!  With any luck, recent breeding success at the San Diego Zoo could hold the key for bringing these magnificent creatures back from the brink!  Sorry to get preachy there.  I just love rhinos and don't wanna see them vanish.  This piece was done for Pinch Punch Post quite some time ago as the signature suggests.  Where does time go exactly?

And that's all for today.  I guess I'll go ahead and get this bit of bad news out of the way now: No CRAZY COMIC CON COUNTDOWN this year.  I'm torn to put it off for a year, but it just hurts too much having lost it this year.  I went through a lot to get reverified for pro status, and now to have nothing, well, it just seems like posting pics would be like rubbing salt in the wound.  I'm trying to take the "out of sight, out of mind" approach, but so far it's not working very well.  In time, I think we'll all be able to move on.  Sorry again folks and I hope you will all come back and see what's swimming by next week.  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catchy y'all later!

WONDERCON 2019: IT WILL ONLY GET BETTER FROM HERE!!!

Well, we come to the end of April and the end of the WonderCon Countdown.  As of this writing, the show has yet to be rescheduled, but I'm confident it will be soon, if it hasn't already.  I write these in advance folks, and as we've already learned once, things can change at any time.  Come what may, let's end things on a high note and jump right into WonderCon 2019, sound good?  Enjoy...

Old Shred Head was there and ready to fight some turtles!

PIGS... IN... SPAAAAAAAACE!!!

I believe in Harvey Dent and believe that Billy Dee Williams would've been better than Tommy Lee Jones.  Then again, Billy Dee probably dodged a huge bullet not being in the Schumacher Batman flicks!  George Clooney doesn't even like talking about them!

I think these folks would be better off heading for a DVD box set instead of the graveyard of failed Cartoon Network shows that Boomerang has become.

This Haunted Mansion-themed Bounty Hunter was awesome enough from the front...

But her rocket pack took things to an even higher level!  The detail to Both Star Wars AND Haunted Mansion lore was incredible!  One of the best costumes I've ever seen!

This adorable tyke came as the classic Webbigail Vanderquack from 80's Ducktales!  I was hanging out at my pal Josh Hauke's table when she waddled by and everyone in the aisle just melted!  Just a real cute kid!

Merlin and Mad Madam Mim were able to put their differences aside just long enough to score some swag in the exhibit hall!

And since we're on a Disney kick, here's Gizmo Duck!

This Weird Science cosplay was funny, but would've worked better were it not for the Twitch shirt.  There was no Twitch in 1985!  Still, it takes courage to walk around with a bra on one's head.  Now if only someone would cosplay Chet post-crap pile transformation!

Now THIS is a true media rarity: A Star Wars CED disk!  For those not in the know, which is many because this format straight tanked, the CED was an early attempt at a disc-based format.  RCA spent close to two decades working on it before finally releasing it.  It was vinyl-based, like a record, but had to be contained in a cartridge of sorts and was simply too big and clunky to really be viable.  By the time it came out, Betamax and VHS already dominated the home video market and even the laserdisc format had been released, though it too would fall victim to the same clunkiness that killed CED.  Still, it had some nice innovations about it and was popular enough to at least have George Lucas give it the time of day, so that's certainly something!  If my pal Matt had been there with me, the exhibitor's kids likely would have had their entire college tuition paid for that weekend!

He doesn't make monkeys, he just trains them!

Chip and Dale as Chip 'N' Dales!  This was certainly a creative and hilarious cosplay!  The radio from The Brave Little Toaster was a nice touch and yes, it worked, and yes, it played Workin' For The Weekend

We end things for this countdown with some folks from over the rainbow!  Last year marked the 80th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz as well as the 100th anniversary of the passing of Oz's creator, L. Frank Baum.  It was nice to see so many cosplayers paying tribute to these wonderful stories and characters.  I'm hoping to someday see some Return to Oz cosplay at one of the shows I go to!

And that was WonderCon 2019.  Bit of a mixed bag last year.  It wasn't a bad show by any means, but sadly, the troubles of home kinda followed me to WonderCon and it just made it hard to enjoy myself.  The saddest part of it all was, there was no reason for it to happen.  I let stress get to me and ruined the week for myself.  Luckily, SDCC totally kicked ass the following July and helped make up for it!  Hopefully the next WonderCon will be one for the ages!

And that's a wrap on the month of April!  While we didn't get WonderCon after all, I hope the look back at past shows gave you all some relief from the real world.  I think things will get better and maybe next week, we'll have some good news to share, along with some new art.  We got hope and we got each other.  Stay strong CRAZIES.  Until next time, be safe, take care and I'll catch y'all later!
