WONDERCON 2019 IS HERE!!! BUT FIRST, WONDERCON 2017!!!

WOOOOOOOOOO!!!  IT'S HERE!!!  WONDERCON 2019!!!  It's like Christmas in Spring!  Okay, okay, gotta get a grip here.  There's still a post to be done, so why don't we just jump back a couple of years and head to WonderCon 2017, sound good?  Great!  Enjoy...

We end things today with Little Bob Ross!  Not sure what sparked the whole recent  Bob Ross craze, but I like it!  He was a positive man with a positive message.  Glad to see people appreciate that.

And that was WonderCon 2017!  My first year not tabling there and I have no regrets.  It could be stressful at times and now has just gotten too expensive.  I'm much happier just walking around, seeing the sights and taking LOTS of pics!  Maybe down the road, I'll give it another try.

And that's it for this week and a wrap on March!  I'm posting a little earlier this week so folks can take all the past glory in a bit longer before the big weekend!  I'm not tabling nor at (the moment) scheduled to be on any panels, but the latter can always change, so keep an eye on my Twitter feed (@JonsCrazyTweets) for any updates!  I should also note that given the nature of having tens of thousands of people crammed into a giant slab of concrete all at one time, cell reception's gonna be spotty at best, so updates may not be all that frequent.  Speaking of patience, it's a big show with lots of people, so try to be understanding and considerate of others.  We're all fans just trying to have a good time and it's easy for tempers to flare.  But if we all just be patient and kind, there's no reason we all can't have a good time!  Take care and I'll see y'all at WonderCon!

WONDERCON 2015... A ONE IN A MILLION BREAK!!!

One week to go and we are there!  Hard to believe how fast time flies!  But enough about that!  This ain't Doctor Who!  We are in the now now, and as such now is becoming then as we head back to WonderCon 2015!  Enjoy...

My humble setup for the weekend.  Not the flashiest booth, I admit, but it works for me.  Cluttered tables do tend to draw more attention, but there is a drawback: Less room to work!  I did a LOT of sketch card commissions that weekend and was thankful to have the extra space to draw them in.

A Sword of Omens lightsaber?!?  My pal Dawn Griffin would squee rather loudly over this!

We end things on probably my favorite moment of the con, when Casey Jones came up to my table and started quoting the movie with me and my pals Matt Eargle and Riki "Max Sterling" Medina!  Good times, god times!

And that was WonderCon 2015!  A total 180 of what had happened the previous year!  I don't know if it was luck or karma or just plain finding the right note finally, but I could hardly keep sketch cards and books at my table, they were selling so fast!  I'd been battling a raging sinus infection all week too, so it certainly was nice to leave Anaheim with something hang my hat on afterward.

We're back and so is the WonderCon 2019 Countdown!  Still on borrowed computer time here, so I'll make this quick!  We're just weeks away from the big weekend so to tie us over, I've dug up more artifacts from the CRAZY archives!  The year is 2014, the location is the Anaheim Convention Center.  The event, of course, is WonderCon.  Let's put the peddle to the metal and get going!  Enjoy...

And that was WonderCon 2014!  Sadly, my memories of this show are quite vivid as reality whooped my ass all weekend long when it came to selling my wares.  It was enough to make me quit all together, but thankfully, common sense came in and dropped kicked depression out of the CRAZYVERSE!  Still, it was a confidence killer, I can't even deny that.  But even with that setback, I still made some new friends and saw lots of wonderful cosplay!  There's always a silver lining to be found.
