THE COLORFUL CARDIGAN CORGI!!!

WELCOME TO 2019 CRAZIES!!! 2018 blew right by, so here's hoping 2019 will be slow enough for us to keep up with everything going on!  There's lots to look forward to, so hopefully come December 31this year, we'll have a lot to look back and smile at!  Anyway, you guys didn't come here to listen to me wax poetic.  You came for some art!  So here's a piece for you!  Enjoy...

Corgis are a cartoonist's kind of dog!  With short legs, stubby tails and a nose that seemingly grows out of their torsos, corgis look like a creation of science fiction!  After Twitter art collective Pinch Punch Post launched with their first theme being dogs, I knew I had to draw a corgi!  And thus Cardigan Corgi was born!  A lot of people really took to this art, so I eventually added her to the cast of Bubble Fox where she's portrayed as an ambitious and well-meaning, but often overwhelmed by circumstance teenager!  Her appearance has changed a little bit since then, namely in a bigger nose, but she's still gone on to become one of BF's most popular characters, which is something considering she only appears once a year!

And that's all she wrote for today.  We'll be back next time with some regal art that should be a "Gas!"  Until then, take care, Happy New Year and I'll catch y'all later!

HAPPY 2019 CRAZIES!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR CRAZIES!!!  Going with a short post today.  I'm sure we all got a lot of things to do before the big day hits.  To briefly summarize though, 2018 was definitely a marked improvement for me.  Got a lot accomplished but still feel like I could've gotten more done.  Among the big goals I have planned for the coming year is to get myself back into shape.  I'd like to take a few trips outside of the usual Anaheim and Long Beach stops as well.  I also hope to FINALLY get the second Bubble Fox book done while also possibly putting out an art book for cons and such.  And as the above art likely suggests, I'm also hoping to get Peppertown back up and running at some point in the New Year.  I have a lotta plans and a lotta energy.  Just need the time and resources really.

I'm excited for the coming year folks and I hope y'all are too.  There's a lot to look forward to and I hope y'all will hop along for the ride.  So for the last time in 2018, thank you all so much for the support and kindness.  Take care and I'll catch y'all in 2019!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ALL YOUR CRAZY PALS!!!

Merry Christmas CRAZIES!!!  I know, I know, Christmas is still six days away, but by the time the next post hits, Christmas will be over!  I mean, I could do a Boxing Day post, but most folks stateside don't really know about that one, so we're celebrating now!  I'm sure we can all agree that an early Christmas celebration is better than a late one, right?  Good!  So let's dive in because we all got parties and festivities to go check out!  But first, some old pals stopped by to say hello, so let's get to it!  Enjoy...

Mike and Mindy.  Even in retirement those goofballs still get into trouble!  Back bacon ain't cheap, let alone four pounds of it!  And that was brioche French toast they ate!  I hope those little turds are in agony when nature eventually calls!  Better hide my five golden toques before they mistake them for Christmas crepes!

And that's all for Christmas folks!  Next week will be all New Year's, so we're getting the merriment in while we still can!  As we close the book on another year I once again wanna encourage all of you to help those in need at this special time of year.  I was one of those less fortunate growing up and you know what?  A donated meal or toy really can make a world of difference in a person's life.  So please, lend a hand.  Until then, have a fun and safe holiday with your loved ones!  Take care and Merry Christmas y'all!

HE'S MR. GREEN CHRISTMAS...

We're back!  It's week two of December and we're plowing right along to Christmas!  Last week, the Snow Miser came by for a visit which led to some hurt feelings from another figure known for his holiday... Cheer of sorts.  So I figured fair is fair and invited this individual down to give his opinion on the state of the holidays.  Grab some eggnog or chilled cider and try to keep cool with this one.  Enjoy...

He's Mr. Green Christmas,
 He's Mr. Sun...
He's Mr. Heat Blister,
He's Mr. Hundred And One...

His friends, few and far between as they may be, call him Heat Miser.  This is largely because everything he touches tends to melt in his clutch.  It can't be easy going through life looking like a giant, angry troll doll, but the Heat Miser, voiced by veteran actor George S. Irving, did it with style!  I think Heat Miser's anger was somewhat justifiable.  Having lived in San Diego my whole life, I've never been able to enjoy the magic of a Winter Wonderland.  Granted, a Christmas beach party is pretty cool too, but it's just not the same!  Take heart Heat Miser.  The CRAZIES appreciate you.

And that's a wrap for this week.  Speaking of wrapping, I need to get my presents taken care of!  We'll be back next time with a few familiar faces who'll be staring down a belly full of trouble!  Until then, take care and please think of those in need this season.  Donate while you can.  Every little bit helps!  Take care and I'll catch y'all later!

HE'S MR. WHITE CHRISTMAS...

Welcome to December CRAZIES!!!  Is it really the end of the year already?  Time just flies by, doesn't it?  Seems the older I get, the more it speeds up.  But hey!  It's Christmas time!  Ain't no room for sad sacks around here!  It's time to bust out the tinsel and holly and bake some cookies!  The Holidays are here and we're celebrating with some old favorites!  So pull an ugly sweater over your head and enjoy...

He's Mr. White Christmas
He's Mr. Snow...
He's Mr. Icicle,
He's Mr. Ten Below...

Yup folks.  We got the Snow Miser chilling with us this week and let me tell y'all something:  Ain't no business like Snow Business!  The Year Without A Santa Claus has long been a favorite of mine as far as the Rankin/Bass holiday specials go.  It's one of those shows that's so weird its great!  And probably the biggest reason why the show is so memorable is because of the Miser Brothers, Snow Miser and Heat Miser, respectively.  Snow Miser was voiced by comedian Dick Shawn who'll long be remembered best as LSD in the original film version of The Producers.  And much like Mel Brooks' legendary comedy, Shawn steals the show here too!

And this seems like a good place to call it for the week.  After all, the holidays are in full swing here and it's a super busy time for all!  But we'll be back next week with more fun with an old pal from Christmas past, so be sure to come back and give it a look!  In the meantime, take care and be sure to donate to local food, toy and clothing drives this season.  Remember those who are less fortunate and lend a hand!  Until next time, I'll catch y'all later!

TERRIBLE TOM TURKEY: REDEEMED AND READY FOR CHRISTMAS?!?

Well folks, Turkey Day has come and gone, but an even bigger holiday is quickly approaching: Christmas!  Of course, if you've been to a Macy's or Target recently, you would've known back in August that it was.  Or if you've listened to the radio anytime since Halloween night, you would've been reminded there too!  Not even gonna get into Hallmark's policy of ignoring Halloween and Thanksgiving entirely for an extended Christmas Season!  Well, now it really is on the horizon, but Tom Turkey and Gilbert Gobbler are still celebrating their victory over the Farmer Brats.  Can anything thing bring them down?  Let's find out!  Enjoy...

Leave it to Sammy Swine to be a total buzzkill!  He's right though.  These fine feathered pals may have escaped Thanksgiving, but until New Year's Day passes, neither one is truly in the clear.  Frankly, neither is Sammy Swine.  Ham is a Christmas staple too!  Guess they'll all be looking for that bike pump soon!

And so ends the tale of Tom Turkey's 2018 escape!  Will he be back next year?  Probably.  Y'all seem to really get a kick out of this goofy bird and his antics, so why not bring him back again?  While Tom's taking his break, some holiday-themed art will be making the December rounds, so be sure to come back and check it out!  And since the holidays are upon us again, I will, as I do every year, ask all you wonderful CRAZIES to help those who are less fortunate this season.  Clothes, food and toy drives are likely open by now and even a dollar in the Salvation Army Bucket goes a long way towards helping those in need.  So please give, especially now more than ever the gift of generosity is important.  Anyway, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

TERRIBLE TOM TURKEY: JUMPING INTO ACTION!!!

Thanksgiving is here my CRAZIES!!!  Tomorrow's the big day!  The turkey!  The sides!  The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turkey Day Marathon!  Yup, I'm all set and hopefully y'all are too!  Ya know, another big part of Thanksgiving is the Macy's Parade, complete with it's many balloons.  If you've been following along these last two weeks, you'll know that Tom Turkey turned his dear pal, Gilbert Gobbler, into a big turkey balloon in an effort to trick the farmer's family into eating Gilbert instead of him.  Well, the plan worked, but it appears ol' Tom feels guilty over his tactics.  Can he save his pal from an explosive end?  Only one way to find out!  Enjoy...

Talk about getting blown away?!?  Turns out turning Gilbert into a blimp made him the perfect weapon!  And young Billy has learned that overalls were the original parachute pants of fashion.  It's a pity Dorothy isn't heavier than him otherwise they wouldn't be three counties over right now!  The day has been saved thanks to Tom Turkey being an underhanded creep in the first place!

That's all for this week CRAZIES.  Thanksgiving fell a week early again this year folks, but we do have a nice epilogue planned for next time, so be sure to come back and give it a look.  And since the big day is tomorrow, be sure to have a fun, happy and safe day with your friends and family.  And for those braving the Black Friday crowds, be safe and be courteous.  It's easy for tempers to flare under such circumstances, but kindness can be far more effective than fists if given the chance.  Take care y'all and Happy Thanksgiving!
