IT'S HERE!!! IT'S HERE!!! WONDERCON 2026 IS HERE!!! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am! After a rough fall, rougher holiday season and very busy winter, I NEED A VACATION!!! Hence the reason I'm posting a couple days early this week as I'm already driving up to Anaheim come my usual Wednesday post schedule for the CRAZYVERSE! So, since I know we're all pretty eager, let's just jump right in, shall we? We set the year to 2024 and have a lock on the Anaheim Convention Center! Hold on to your Batman Underoos, because the CRAZY WonderCon Countdown is a go! Enjoy...

WonderCon 2024 was a novel experience to say the least. The first day of the con, a wonderfully sunny, warm spring day. Saturday morning, the heavens opened up and it was a torrential downpour the rest of the weekend! Needless to say, it got VERY crowded in the Convention Center lobbies!
2024 was the year I attended a Dungeons & Dragons live puppet show! And while the puppets were well made and puppeteers were very professional, my lack of knowledge on how D&D is played made it pretty hard to follow along with. The crowd loved it though!

You see kids, once upon a time, there was this glorious TV channel called MTV, and they showed really cool music videos, standup comedy, sketch comedy, funny game shows and even had interviews with famous musicians, singers and performers. And you didn't need an internet connection to see it! I know this sounds like a myth, but such a platform really existed once.
The Sony Extended Spiderman Universe enjoys some nice spring weather the day before the rains came roaring in!

The bar at the Anaheim Hilton is certainly a fun place after WonderCon finishes for the day! Some folks have lingered on 'til literally 2am when the bar closes!

I don't spotlight the individual booths enough in these posts, but this booth has been there since I was tabling over a decade ago and they always have the coolest Hawaiian shirts for sale! They are insanely expensive shirts, but still cool none the less!
And finally, we end things this week with an unsung hero that deserves far more credit then he ever gets: The Tapatio Mariachi! This man has saved so many tacos and burritos from being bland! We all need to raise our tortillas, be it corn or flour, and honor this generous soul!
And that was WonderCon 2024! One of my all time favorite con experiences in all these years of going! In addition to some great comic scores, I also found a couple of very rare toys at surprisingly reasonable prices! Some great meals at Downtown Disney only complimented a great con experience, despite the wild weather! It's not the first time WonderCon got rained out. The very first one in Anaheim in 2012 rained all weekend long! Frankly, we need the rain and with some of the heat waves we've been having as I type this, I wouldn't mind some cooler weather for this week! Regardless, it was a good time.
Well, that's a wrap for the month March 2026, but the CRAZY WonderCon Countdown continues on until we have pics for this year's show! So come back next week as we march on! If you're going to WonderCon this weekend, do have fun and please be courteous to other attendees. Crowds have a way of making tempers flare and sometimes, it's just easier to walk away from trouble than court it. I'll be making my rounds through the exhibit hall as usual, so if you see me, be sure to say hi! As of right now, I'm not on any panels but hey? That can always change!
