LITTLE DANIEL DOUBLES DOWN, ER, UP!!!

We are back my CRAZIES!!!  And it's the end of August!  Sheesh, weren't we just celebrating the New Year?  Actually, I think more people will be happier to see 2025 end than they were to see it start, but that's neither here nor there.  It's art time!  And this month has been a fun one exploring some of the fan art, guest strips and commissions I get throughout the year, and this week is no exception!  I said we'd end this month with some BIG laughs and this next toon will really EXPAND your waistbands it's such a gut buster!  Don't think I'm serious about this?  Then scroll down and see for yourself!  Enjoy...

It should be noted that in the realm of cartoons, you should NEVER trust expansive gasses, especially helium!  You are just asking for trouble of a well-rounded nature.  Unfortunately, "Little" Daniel here didn't heed Bubble Fox's warnings and now, well...  He's got a rather BIG problem!  Guess you could say that kid's a bit of a BLOWHARD, eh?  Daniel, and his friends Susana and Elias, are the creations of my good friend Alberto Gonzalez, an amazing cartoonist from Costa Rica who's had quite an amazing run in the world of cartooning.  We met years ago on Twitter and have thankfully managed to keep things going on BlueSky as social media tastes continue to shift.  Al had longed to take part in some of the CRAZY Art Events that Jennifer Cuthbert and I host on both platforms, but time never seemed to be on his side.  Thankfully, when it came time to do the fourth installment of the CRAZIES Day Parade, Al was prepared and had this hilarious entry/guest comic ready to go!  And indeed, the laughs were bigger than Daniel's rapidly expanding belly!  The wait was well worth it Al, so thanks again for taking part and including Bubble in shenanigans!  I just hope they all weren't standing downwind of Daniel when he was ready to deflate!

And that's a wrap on August 2025!  I know it's a bummer that summer's ending but hey, that just means the holidays are that much closer!  Pretty sweet, eh?  Be sure to come back next week as we get September off to a colorful start!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

VISSY'S SPOOKY (AND FOXY!!!) TEA PARTY!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  Another week in and holy crap, are we really already more than halfway past august already?!?  It certainly does go by fast, doesn't it?  I'm already smelling the pumpkin spice off in the distance!  And with that will come the witching hour, a season of spooky things and ghoulish screams...  Which, oddly enough, flows very well into today's post!  Don't believe me?  Scroll down and see for yourself!  Enjoy...

Bubble and pals were taking a stroll through a haunted castle when they happened upon his good friend, Invisibella!  She invited them in for tea and cookies and they had a swell time to boot!  Vissy even dressed Clover up in one of her old princess gowns and tiaras from when she was younger!  The tale of a teen ghost who was once a princess that's still trying to navigate the fine line between life and death while also dodging the efforts of several interested parties looking to take her down, including a clinically insane little girl who makes Wile E Coyote look like Einstein by comparison, Invisibella is the creation of my dear friend Shaylee Robson, a real up-and-coming cartoonist from Canada who's really making waves in the world of webcomics!  We met on Twitter through a mutual love of comics, classic cartoons and all things Jimmy Gownley.  Shaylee may also be the biggest fan of one of Bubble Fox's most beloved characters, Clover J Cat!  It seems the little brown kitten, known for her sass and spunk, won Shaylee over and now, Clover and Vissy (Invisibella's nickname) are best friends!  Clover even gifted Vissy a kitten onesie that matches her fur!  Now that's friendship!  Thanks again Shaylee for inviting Bubble and pals over, even after Sap broke that vase!  I'm sure there will be many more tea parties to come!

Well, another week down and one left to go in the month of August, but fear not!  I promise we'll be back next week to end the month and the summer on a high not with another pal who will expand your laugh track!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

MARTY AND SPUD MEET BUBBLE AND GET BUBBLED!!!

Well, after a long ten weeks, it's back to normal here at the CRAZYVERSE.  I mean, normal by this site's standards at least.  We've long tended to lean more towards the silly and absurd here than anything else, and nowhere is that more obvious than with the antics of a certain fox named Bubble!  He's at it again, this time with some new pals who were pumped to meet him, but didn't realize that Bubble Fox and "pumped" are a bad mix!  Think we all know where this might be heading, but it's worth scrolling down anyway!  Enjoy...

D'OH!!!  BUBBLE FOX!!!  MARTY AND SPUD SAID THEY WERE PUMPED TO MEET YOU, NOT THAT THEY WANTED TO BE PUMPED "BY" YOU!!!  That fox is a menace!  He just can't resist when cartoon physics are involved!  I know young Marty was probably looking forward to a growth spurt someday, but he was likely hoping to be taller, not wider!  Gonna be a wicked case of gas later on!  Marty & Spud are the creations of my good pal Matt Hansel, a veteran cartoonist of MANY titles, most notably Hagar The Horrible and a whole host of toons over at American Mythology Comics, including Casper The Friendly Ghost!  When Matt offered commissions on Twitter last summer, I jumped at the chance to get some original art from one of my favorites, not to mention see Bubble Fox in another awesome artist's signature style!  Might have to commission Matt again next year just to see how much more Bubble pumped them up!  Thanks again Matt!  Nice to see that Marty and Spud don't have inflated egos!

That's all she wrote for this week, but we'll be back next time for more antics from a CRAZY, and spooky, friend!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

BAFFLINGLY BUBBLED BY BUBBLE'S BUBBLY BOBA!!!

We are back!  Not that we were ever truly gone, but not a whole lot happens on this blog in between posts, which isn't to say nothing happens at all.  It's just that not everything's interesting enough to post!  You know what is though?  FAN ART!!!  Especially helium-filled fan art!  So lets float on in to see what's gonna be combatting inflation in this week's CRAZY Inflation Buster Special, shall we?  Enjoy...

Lesson one folks: NEVER let Bubble Fox make the drinks!  It almost always goes awry!  This piece was done to celebrate the first anniversary of my pal Dave Brown's web comic, Planet Joey, the tale of a Canadian boy named Joey who's forced to move to literally the middle of nowhere and start afresh with his family, which also includes a very suave, sophisticated, talking bear named Herb.  Dave had done a guest comic for Bubble Fox where Joey spikes Herb's coffee with helium, causing him to bloat and float along with Bubble Fox himself!  In this fan art, I decided the little squirt needed a little payback, so Bubble gave both of them some "Bubble Tea," though it was actually unintentional!  I had a lot of fun with this piece, but had to replace the colors on Joey's shirt digitally as the marker I used originally just wouldn't blend.  Pro Tip Kids:  Don't use Sharpies for colors.  They're okay in a pinch, especially if its a really small area to color, but for larger spaces, they just get streaky and it's obvious.  If you're using markers, PrismaColors and Copics are the way to go.

And that's all for today, but we'll be back next time for a game of make believe that really expands upon the concept of hide and seek!  It'll blow your mind, so be sure to come back and check it out!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE & MINDY: WEIRD PLAYMATES ON A WEIRD PLAYDATE!!!

Well, we've come to it at last: The end of this year's CRAZYVERSARY.  Yeah, I know, it's kind of sad, but time must go on.  Especially considering what's coming next!  But more on that later!  For now, if the CRAZYVERSARY has to end, then we're gonna end it on a high note!  LITERALLY!!!

Last year, I made a commitment to support more artist pals by commissioning original artwork from them.  Then I got swindled out of my unemployment extension and had to go into survival mode until work started back up towards the end of summer.  Needless to say, I wasn't able to commit to that plan as much as I would've liked to have, but I was able to get at least one commission though, and it was from the first fellow web cartoonist I befriended after joining Twitter, the Queen of Webcomics, Dawn Griffin!

Dawn is a cartoonist and illustrator best known for her hilarious comic Zorphbert & Fred, the tale of two aliens disguised as dogs sent to earth to study humans and their ways.  It was a true benchmark in Webcomics and often hit the nail right on the head when pointing out the absurdities that is modern society.  It's a pity Dawn ended the strip when she did, because the current times are a comedy goldmine for cartoonists and writers, but she knows well the virtue of quitting while ahead.  Dawn's long been a friend of this CRAZY man presently typing and has even done guest comics for me in the past.  She even gave me my first shot at doing a guest strip which I will always be very proud of.  Dawn does commissions, so I put in an order!  The request was simple: Mike and Mindy having a playdate with the Weird Kid from Z&F.  Dawn took the ball and ran with and scored big!  What follows is the process!

Dawn was kind enough to send me some progress shots of the commission, starting with the pencils.  For traditional comics and cartoons, this is how it starts for many of us: A simple sketch that gets roughed out and refined as the idea is shaped.  Since helium is a big part of the CRAZYVERSE, we decided that the poor Weird Kid was getting round!

Next up are the inks!  Depending on how one works, this stage is done either traditionally, with a pen or marker, or digitally with a tablet and stylus pen.  It is here where further revisions and refinements take place in the art.  Its a gamble sometimes, as inks are often where most mistakes are made, but some artists reach a point where they're comfortable enough that they can freehand with a pen.  There are certain pieces I was confident enough with to do it on and others I chose to refine further with pencils instead.  It's a skill that comes with time for sure.

And finally, the finished piece, which Dawn rendered in watercolors!  I was very impressed with the colors here as Dawn claimed watercolors are still a work in progress for for her, but she could've fooled me!  I myself have been dabbling in other coloring mediums as of late, mainly watercolors, colored pencils and pastels, but admittedly could be trying a little harder to practice!  Markers are what I started with and am just more comfortable with them.  For the time being at least!

And that's the piece, a hilarious and colorful crossover that sees the Weird Kid "Playing" with Mike and Mindy while also sending up The Cat In The Hat!  The real funny thing here is that this scenario is totally plausible in either comics' universe as both M&M AND Z&F were surreal toons that featured offbeat and irreverent humor!  Poor Weird Kid seems so baffled by it all.  I oughta commission another piece where Mike and Mindy play with their human beachball!  Thanks again Dawn and thanks for giving us a look at the creative process!  This piece reached new heights!

Well, that's all for this week and for the CRAZYVERSARY!!!  Thanks again to all the pals who sent in fan art for this joyous occasion!  It was the biggest celebration yet and topping it is gonna be impossible!  All month long I've been teasing something big is coming, and it is!  Next week: WonderCon returns!  Well, the countdown does at least!  That's right folks, it's been three long years since we last had a WonderCon, but it's back!  And we are gonna get into the spirit with a look back at previous shows, so be sure to come back and check it all out!  Until next time, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE & MINDY: DEVIOUS AND EXPLOSIVE!!!

Welcome back my CRAZIES!!!  We are inching ever closer to the end of this year's CRAZYVERSARY, but there's still a couple weeks of fun left to be had.  Don't believe me?  Scroll down and see for yourself nonbelievers!  Enjoy...

First up, we have some fan art from a longtime friend of all things CRAZY, Scott Warren!  Scott, the creator of the insanely funny and nostalgic comic, Crunchy Bunches, likes to surprise me with fan art from time to time and last year gifted me this great piece reminding us all how devious Mike and Mindy could truly be!  They were always great friends, but often made better enemies!  I've always loved Scott's style.  Beyond it being super cartoony, it's also very bouncy, loose and expressive.  When I see his art, it moves.  That's takes a special talent to pull that off!  Thanks again Scotty!  May Munchy and Crew be back on the box soon!

Next up, picture book illustrator Sheri Palmer dropped off this adorable piece celebrating the first "Draw This" theme I posted back in 2020, which was a panel from another popular M&M strip in which Mindy tried to hold in a sneeze with hilarious results!  Sheri decided to make things a little less gross by having Mindy fart out a rainbow because, as Sheri put it, "Mindy's part unicorn!"  It's always a joy when Sheri's art pops up in my timeline.  Besides being adorable, it's also just straight whimsical.  There are times I feel like I can crawl into the picture by simply looking at it.  Thanks again Sheri!  Hope to see more Mike & Mindy in your style in the future!

And that's all for this week, but do come back seven days from now as we close out the CRAZYVERSARY on a high note with some uplifting art from a very dear pal!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE & MINDY PUMPED FOR THE CRAZYVERSARY, PT. 4!!!

Welcome to March CRAZIES!!!  We're two months into 2022 and things are, well... Much the same.  Some areas are better than others obviously, but there's always room for improvement.  Here at the CRAZYVERSE, the CRAZYVERSARY still floats on as the celebration was so big, it's spilled past its normal month of celebration and into March!  Weird?  Yes, but believe me something really cool is on the horizon that I can't wait to cover!  But more on that in a couple of weeks.  Y'all came here for some inflated Mike & Mindy insanity and I plan on delivering!  So scroll down before they float away!  Enjoy...

For those that haven't been keeping up, last summer I posted this panel from a classic M&M comic as part of the popular "Draw This In Your Style" challenge all across social media.  I was stunned by the sheer number of entries I got from fans and pals all over Twitter!  It's nice to know people still care about the terrible tykes, even though their comic series ended back in 2014.  Today we present the last ten entries I got, bringing us to a grand total of 40!  So put on some extra stretchy clothes and inhale deep, because Mike and Mindy are going on an adventure!  Take it away pals...

Bill Greenhead

Nora Racz

Pat Sandy

David Buist

J.A. Parker

Eline Wagemaker

Corey Kramer

Ted Dawson

Jennifer Cuthbert

Nick Davis

And that's a wrap on this portion of the celebration!  Big thanks again to all my wonderful pals in the Webcomics and Illustration realms who took part in this fun challenge.  M&M ran for five years between 2010 and 2014, and although they never reached the heights or longevity that Bubble Fox has, it's comforting to know they still have fans and are still remembered fondly.  Those years were a lot of fun and if I could relive them again, I would.  I promise to have an even sillier panel ready for this summer's theme!

That's all for this week, but we still have a few CRAZYVERSARY surprises left before launching into ANOTHER very fun event, but that's news for another day!  Until next time, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE AND MINDY HAVE SOME PALS!!!

We are back!  February is a short month, but it sure does pack a punch weather-wise!  But that's not the reason we are all here today.  We are here because it's Mike and Mindy's Anniversary and some pals wanted to show there appreciation for the Toony Tykes!  Which pals you're wondering?  Scroll down and you'll see!  Enjoy...

First up is this sweet little piece from Twitter pal Haruka!  I was stunned by the amount of fan art that came in for M&M's 10th Anniversary before and even after it happened.  Some of the fan art came from countries that I didn't even know followed the comic.  Most of it came from Europe while some, like in Haruka's case, came from as far away as Japan!  It really is a joy and quite humbling to know that people outside of North America not only read my comics but enjoy them too.  I never know how well these comics translate outside of the Americas as humor is different everywhere.  M&M was a silent, gag-based comic, so there was no language barrier to overcome.  Even though they ended so long ago now, I still get new fans every year because of these wacky kids!

Next up is a funny piece from The Muse Stand creator Joe Michael K!  Joe's another Twitter pal who felt inspired to give these two tykes a shot in his own style!  I always get laugh at how no matter who's drawing them, nearly everybody always includes the giant, rounded eyes in their M&M fan art.  It's certainly among their trademarks.  Along with helium of course!

Speaking of helium, it's just not a fan art post without the tiny, the toony and more than a little loony Kim Belding!  Kim always draws my characters with such wacky glee!  And when it comes to balloon gags, he always rises to the top!  Gotta say though, Santa's white gloves and black pants are really weirding me out here.  Kim assured me that's just how Canadian Santa dresses, but I have my suspicions!

Well, that's all for now.  Next week, we'll be back with some more fan art that's explosively fun, so be sure to come back and check it all out!  Until then, stay safe, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE & MINDY: A LITTLE LOVE FROM SOME PALS!!!

Almost through March CRAZIES and boy, has it been a wild one.  The CRAZYVERSE ain't shut down though.  We are gonna continue to go strong rain or shine, because happiness is what everybody needs most right now, and what's happier than fan art, am I right?

As you may recall dear readers, last month marked the 10th anniversary of my very first comic creation, Mike & Mindy.  'Twas a whole month of mirth and merriment that saw a whole lotta guest comic love come in from pals from all over the web comic realm!  Well a few more pals from the world of web comics and illustration decided they wanted to have a little bit of fun with the Buoyant Brats too, so here they are in full color glory: Mike & Mindy fan art!  Enjoy...

As you can see, quite the variety here from an amazing group of artists!  Thanks again dear pals for helping me celebrate Mike and Mindy's big celebration!  Y'all made it that much better!  Be sure to give these talented folks a look CRAZIES!  Their Twitter handles are included and they're all happy to talk art!

Anyway, that's all for now!  Next week, we kickoff our countdown to WonderCon 2020!!!  Well, recent events have kinda put that in limbo now, but tradition is tradition, and the show must go on, even in blog form, so be sure to come back next week!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE & MINDY: MARK'S TWISTED GAME OF FUN!!!

WOOHOO!!!  Today's the last of the guest comics for the CRAZYVERSARY!!!  Wait a minute, that's actually really sad now that I think about it!  But hey, if it has to end, it may as well be on a high note, and we got THE superstar of web comics here today putting his own little "Twist" on things!

Mark Stokes is no stranger to anyone even remotely familiar with web comics.  His series, Zombie Boy, is a true benchmark of our branch of the cartooning world and one of the greatest comic strips ever done!  I could go on for hours, but there's still a comic to see!  Enjoy...

Twister, a game that is both funny AND dangerous!  Mike and Mindy always get a little too competitive when it comes to games.  Their marathon sessions of Connect Four once lead to a building collapsing while their game of Mousetrap brought a hazmat crew out to Mindy's house to clean up!  I won't even tell you the kind of havoc they wreak while playing Battleship!  Today though, they play another childhood classic, and as you can clearly see above, a LOT can go wrong!  Looks like some axel grease and forceps are gonna be needed here to untangle these tykes!  I could go on for hours on how much I respect Mark Stokes, and I actually have!  He was one of the first pros to befriend me when I was a young cartoonist scared of my own shadow and just dipping my feet into the often treacherous social media waters.  Mark welcomed me in and helped me become more confident in my abilities.  I'm honored to call him a friend and even more honored that he once again rendered my "kids" in his amazing style.  I'm not exaggerating when I say that Zombie Boy is the greatest web comic of all time.  Thanks again Mark!  Give my regards to ZB, Gorr, Boog and the Zombie Bugs and Pups!

And that's a wrap on the guest comics folks. BUT, there is still ONE comic left in the CRAZYVERSARY!  Mike and Mindy aren't quite done yet, and wanted to make one last appearance before heading back to their vacation home in Bermuda.  They promised to make their last exit a colorful one, so come back Friday and see if they'll make good on that!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

LIFTOFF WITH MIKE, MINDY AND PJ DAY!!!

Welcome back my CRAZIES!  Sadly, today kicks off the last week of Mike & Mindy's 10th Anniversary, but hey!  If this is the end, then we're gonna close things up on a high note!  And thankfully, PJ Day is here to make sure we start the end properly!  M&M recently visited Flatt Bear, and surprised everybody with the manner of their exit!  What was so surprising about it?  You'll just have to scroll down and see for yourself!  Enjoy...

I think Duffy summed it all up there.  Mike and Mindy NOT getting inflated in the end AND leaving in a peaceful manner with no trail of destruction behind them?  Shocking indeed!  PJ Day is another dear pal of mine from the web comic realm.  Funny, sincere and always happy to jump in, PJ's got a great style that's always cracked me up.  The fact that one of his main characters is a snake too is also a huge plus in my book, making Flatt Bear a must-read!  Thanks again PJ!  Kinda curious now how M&M arrived there!

Well, one more guest comic to go!  Be sure to come back Wednesday and see how it all ends!  On the guest comic end of things anyway.  The real end is Friday!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE & MINDY: A WELL-ROUNDED FRIENDSHIP WITH TIM GREEN!!!

Welcome back my CRAZIES!!!  We're wrapping Week 3 of the CRAZYVERSARY as Mike and Mindy hit the Big 1-0!  Today, a most distingued guest makes a long overdue return to the land of CRAZY, the hilarious and fun creator of Vinnie the Vampire, Tim Green!

Tim has a long and varied history with the CRAZY roster and it's a well known fact that Sunny and Mindy are Bloomer Buds when the panels aren't rolling.  So let's dive in and see what kind of mischief that Timbo's cooked up this time around!  Enjoy...

Aw helium...  Mike and Mindy's old standby.  When all else fails, this uplifting little gas comes in and saves the day!  You'll never hear anybody say that Mike doesn't have a well-round personality.  And when things are looking flat, you can count on Mindy to pump some life back into any situation.  Just hope Mike doesn't let that inflated ego get the best of him.  Expansive knowledge can lead to a really swollen head, or in Mike's case, a really swollen body!  Well, I think I've had enough pun for now, so let's talk a little about Tim Green!  He's one of my dearest pals in the web comicsphere and one of my favorites to chat with!  His comic, Vinnie the Vampire, is one of the all-time greats!  It's the tale of a dysfunctional family of vampires largely run by an ever-so-evil toddler, Sunny!  Tim's art and humor are fun and lively, despite the characters technically being dead!  It's always pure joy when I see new art come in from Tim, and the buoyant display above is no exception!  In addition to being a great artist, Tim's straight up a great guy.  A friend you can depend on, he's always happy to lend a hand or an ear when you need a pal.  Thanks again Timbo.  Perhaps next time Sunny and Mindy can join in on the bloated, balloony fun!

And that's all she wrote for Week 3!  Next week is the beginning of the end for the CRAZYVERSARY, but never fear!  We're going out on a high note, especially with Monday's comic, which is something completely different!  So be sure to come back and see how it all goes down!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

MIKE AND MINDY ARE OUT OF THIS PLANET THANKS TO SCOTT WARREN!!!

We are mid-week here at the CRAZYVERSE and still celebrating the incredible Mike & Mindy 10th Anniversary party!  M&M had a surprising following with audiences abroad, probably because of them not talking, which meant no language barriers.  I can't help but wonder if perhaps life on other planets might also be fans of them by that same logic?  I unfortunately don't have the means to find out.  Scott Warren, on the other hand, does!  So pour yourself a huge heaping bowl of Crunchy Bunches and then see how things worked out by scrolling below!  Enjoy...

Well, Mike and Mindy seem to like the aliens, and the aliens are giving them a thumbs up instead of a probe, so that's gotta be a good sign, right?  Frankly, those aliens should be careful.  M&M's penchant for mayhem is quite legendary and could lead to shenanigans.  The kind of shenanigans that lead to planetary conquest at that!  Scott Warren is no stranger to the world of CRAZY.  He's done many guest strips over the years for Mike & Mindy and Bubble Fox, and he always delivers big!  His style is a classic, mixing the funny pages with Saturday morning cartoons.  His comic, Crunchy Bunches, is of the funniest out there and will hopefully be coming back soon.  This hiatus has been far too long!  At least we got some guest comic action from him!  Thanks again Scotty boy!  I really do love your take on the Buoyant Brats!

That's it for today, but be sure to come back Friday so we can end Week 3 with a very "well-rounded" guest comic!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

WELCOME TO THE "SHOE" CRISPIN WOOD!!!

Welcome to Week 3 of Mike & Mindy's 10th Anniversary!  And what better way to start things off than by addressing one of M&M's biggest tropes!  You see, as much of a role as helium, bloomers and mayhem played throughout M&M's run, they were never exactly a constant.  They happened, yes, but the two tropes that played out more so than any other were their silence (And not once in any of the comics that I ever drew did they actually utter a single word) and Mike's perpetually untied shoe, which always switched feet every comic!  Well, they're still silent, though they have spoken in guest strips, so I guess the only thing to take care of now is that rogue shoe of Mike's!  Luckily, Crispin Wood, the creator of Small Blue Yonder, was up for the task!  How'd he pull it off?  Scroll down and you'll find out!  Enjoy...

Mike's never been accused of lacking creativity, and he certainly got those creative juices flowing today!  I never realized how long those laces really are!  Gonna be sad when he inevitably has to take a step!  At least we have that fourth panel to remember it by!  Crispin Wood is a damn funny fella!  His comic, Small Blue Yonder, is more or less the spiritual successor to The Far Side.  Subversive, irreverent and insanely funny, Crispin's a true master of the cartooning craft and a real stickler for dialogue placement too!  In a perfect world, his comics would be in every newspaper on the planet, but thankfully, he posts them on his website so that ALL can access and enjoy them.  What a nice guy, am I right?  Thanks again Crispin.  You always deliver big laughs!

That's all for now.  We'll be back Wednesday for a guest comic that's truly out of this world!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

WHO GAVE THOSE TWO WANDS?!? DANA ATNIP?!?

Woohoo!  We are halfway into this massive anniversary party!  And what better way to close out Week 2 than with a little bit of magic, am I right?  Especially since today's Valentines Day!  Magic AND romance?  Who could get that here so swiftly?!?  Luckily, Galactic Dragons creator Dana Atnip had a card up her sleeve and delivered just that!  So take your potions and charms and sit back, because we are a go!  Enjoy...

Uh oh!  Those spells are gonna leave a lasting impact!  I thought wizard duels were just meant to disarm opponents?  Mindy being a Hufflepuff isn't too surprising, and not just because she's about to be puffed.  But Mike as a Slytherin?  His blind bravery definitely makes him Gryffindor material if you ask me!  Then again, Gryffindors probably don't inflate their girlfriends using magic, just mean distant aunts!  Hopefully someday we'll see the results of their duel!  Dana Atnip is one of the best artists in comics today.  Her comic, Galactic Dragons, the story of a ragtag group of dragons on a rescue mission IN space, is a fabulous tale of action, comedy and even a small dash of romance!  Her style, which comes across as a mixture of Chuck Jones and Walt Kelly, is stuff of dreams.  I can look at her art all day!  She's also a very dear friend and sweet person.  Every year she does a guest comic for Bubble Fox and now has Mike and Mindy to her credit too!  Thanks again Dana for rendering my cartoon kids in your adorable, whimsical style!

And that's a wrap on Week 2.  We'll be back in couple of days to kick off Week 3 by tying up loose ends!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!
