Man!  Is June really over already?  Time sure does fly!  Oh well, that's life!  Time marches on, and so does the art!  Enjoy this week's offering…

The theme this time around was "Thumbelina" as suggested by Sketch Dailies.  I'm sure Hans Christian Anderson would roll in his grave if he saw this, but I like to think I gave his princess a very original spin.  At least this one didn't win a Golden Raspberry Award like the Don Bluth adaptation did!  That counts for something, right?

And so ends another month.  Next week, I'll be back with some Patriotic art as well as a visit to Comic Con's past!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

Boy do we got a "Scorcher" today!  No, not the weather, although it is mid-June, so it likely is pretty hot right now.  I'm talking about today's artwork!  Grab a bucket of water and enjoy…

Today's theme I clearly remember coming from Sketch Dailies, who suggested a Fire Drake to all the artists.  I was a bit timid to draw this one as large creatures tend to give me trouble, but this one wound up being some of my best art ever.  I'm really starting to love drawing dragons and other fantasy creatures.  They certainly lend themselves to my colorful style.  Hopefully I'll draw some more beasts in the near future.

And so we close out again for the week.  We'll be back next time to end June with a post that's all "Hands!"  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

We're back, and CRAZIER than ever!  Don't believe me?  Then check out the CRAZY art below...

I'm pretty sure this "Mad Scientist" theme was from the Daily Doodle but it could've been Sketch Dailies too.  Frankly it's hard to keep track of them all!  Still, the defining trait that all mad scientists share is super crazy hairdos.  I've long wondered why, and now I have my answer: They all use super crazy hair tonic!  Hey!  One of these guys had to set the bar!  (Ironically enough, I've often been told that I myself am suppose to look like a B Movie mad scientist instead of the relatively average dude that I really DO look like!)

And so ends another week.  We'll be back next time with some art that'll be "Hot" to the touch!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

Welcome to June CRAZIES!!!  Can't believe Summer's here already!  It's gonna be pretty insane this year!  Between Comic Con, the San Diego County Fair and Disneyland's 60th Anniversary, I'm not sure how to contain all the excitement I got!  The easiest way, I suppose, is to simply focus on the art I'm posting.  So enjoy...

This theme from the Daily Doodle was one of my personal favorites from last year.  Cat's are such naturally goofy critters.  There are times I think my cat actually believes he's human, so inspiration wasn't too hard to find for this one.  Had a lot of great feedback on it on Twitter too.  Guess we can all relate a little to feline curiosities.

For anyone heading to the San Diego County Fair this year, you'll find a very familiar collection in the Home and Hobby building: MY COLLECTION OF LUCHADORE MASKS!!!  After years of being too timid, I finally entered one of my collections in the fair!  I'm pretty excited about and am looking forward to showing them all off!  I don't have too many details just yet, but the Fair begins on Friday, June 5th (Just two days away!) and runs through July 5th!  Stay tuned to my Twitter feed for updates and pics of my exhibit as well as updates on when I'll actually be at the fair for those who wanna come say hi!  It'll be fun for all!

Well, that's all for this week.  We'll be back next time with some hair-raising art that's sure to make y'all laugh "Madly."  Until, take care and I'll catch y'all later!
