Welcome to December CRAZIES!!! Hard to believe we've already reached the end of the year! Frankly, I'm happy to see 2025 go away, but, we still have a few weeks left, so we might as well celebrate the fact that Christmas is coming! And what better way to do so than with the big guy himself? That's right folks, the fat little man in a red suit is here to spread joy and happiness to all! Apparently Santa's brought us disappointment for the holidays! What? That's not the real Santa Claus? Well that's a relief! Yes folks, that is not the real Santa, but rather, Gym Coach Santa! I realize in these more modern times, Christmas and Holiday Pageants don't really happen in public schools anymore, but when I was a kid, we had them every year, and you could always count on the school's PE (Gym) coach playing Santa in the show. Our coach, Mr. Gorm, was about 6ft 7in tall and weighed close to 300 pounds! He looked more like a wrestler than a teacher! And he didn't even try to play Santa right. He wore the coat and hat and pretty much called it there. Us older kids knew it was him, but the younger set could never figure out why Santa wore (SHORT) shorts and knee-high socks! I suppose it's the thought that counts in the long run.
Well, one week down as we march towards 2026, but fear not! We got more holiday fun coming, so stay TOONED!!! As always, it's the holidays, it's cold and folks need help. Please give to food banks and toy/clothing drives this season. Every little bit helps and can really give people their badly needed miracles in these desperate times.
