Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  And welcome to the 2026 CRAZY WonderCon Countdown!  We are just over a month away from the premier Con of the spring!  Needless to say, I'm excited beyond belief and already making my plans for the big week!  So, since I am so giddy, let's just jump right into things and get on with pics, shall we?  The year is 2017.  The location is the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, California.  The event is WonderCon!  Hold on to your Batman Underoos folks!  THE CRAZY WONDERCON COUNTDOWN IS A GO!!!  Enjoy...

And now, we close the book on WonderCon 2017 as Doctor Strange and Princess Peach bust a move!

And that was WonderCon 2017!  Among my favorite Con experiences, I had so much fun that year walking the aisles with my pals Matt and Riki!  It was also the first time I ever went to WonderCon as an attending Professional, having been an exhibitor from 2012-2015.  Alas, all things must come to pass, and sadly, I've pretty much run out of pictures from 2017.  But hey!  It was fun while it lasted, eh?

That's one week down as we eagerly await the joys of WonderCon 2026!  But fear not!  MANY more memories are on the way, so be sure to come back next week and see how we close out February 2026!  In the meantime, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

WELCOME BACK MY CRAZIES!!!  ARE YOU EXCITED?!?  I SURE AM!!!  Okay, okay, I gotta get a grip on myself, but how can I not be excited?  WonderCon is coming!  One of the best weeks of the year for me is now just a month away and I can hardly contain myself!  But, I must as we have posts to do.  But what better way to tie ourselves over then by revisiting some of the fun from WonderCon's past?  I see no need to drag this on any further, so let's set the Wayback Machine to 2017 and city of Anaheim as we prepare to scroll down and relive the fun, the comics and the cosplay!  Hold on to your Batman Underoos folks.  The CRAZY WonderCon Countdown is on!  Enjoy...

This was merely a piece of a costume that took the team (Yes, TEAM!) of handlers close to an hour to get all the pieces past security and then assembled in the courtyard of the Anaheim Convention Center!  The devotion some of these cosplayers have towards their craft is incredible!

At WonderCon, and really ANY comic con, it's a good idea to take a moment to catch your breath every once in a while.

And finally, we'll end our trip back to 2017 with a little taste of Halloween from the Sanderson Sisters!  It's wild how popular this movie is now despite being an utter flop when it came out.  In all fairness though, that's largely Disney's fault for releasing a Halloween movie in the middle of Summer!

And that was WonderCon 2017!  A very fun year after having skipped the previous show due to family plans.  Had such a great time that weekend with my pals Riki and Matt.  We did everything and scored some amazing swag and dined at some fine establishments.  This is one I wish I could go back to for real.

And that's a wrap on February 2025 and the first week of the CRAZY WonderCon Countdown 2025!  But fear not!  We got six more weeks of this, so you know we are gonna get March off and running on the right foot!  So be sure to come back next Wednesday and give it a look!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

THE CRAZY WONERCON COUNTDOWN 2024 IS ON!!!

 

Welcome to March CRAZIES!!!  And with that...  WONDERCON is on the horizon!  It has been a long year (Literally!  WonderCon happened a week earlier last year!), but the wait is almost over!  I'm pretty excited to be heading out as I haven't had a vacation since last year's show, so as you might have guessed, I'm due!  Timing is largely right at the moment.  Been VERY busy with both the day job and comics, but there's still three weeks to go, so let's start off with an appetizer before the other courses arrive, shall we?

Closing things out this first week of the Countdown with the Ghost with the Most babe!  Say his name three times and all hell will break loose!

And that was WonderCon 2017!  After a brief hiatus in 2016, I triumphantly returned to Anaheim in 2017 and had the time of my life!  So much great cosplay that year that also saw the expansion of the food truck area, of which the added variety has certainly made things much easier at the show as there are no conveniently close restaurants near the venue.  Hoping the Greek Truck returns this year!
