ALL THINGS MUST PASS...

Just who is this figure behind those shadowy pigtails?  I can't tell you just yet.  What I can tell you is that she's one of the lead characters behind my NEW comic series (Yeah, another one!) coming in January of 2015!  More details will be revealed as the year progresses!

You may be saying to yourself; "Wait a minute, what about Mike And Mindy? And Mushrooms?"  Well, that's what the big news I've been hinting at is.  This year will mark the final year of the original CRAZYVERSE set.  You see, I've been working on this new story for quite sometime now, longer than my current stories even!  Also, I feel the time is right to move on to new things.  As much as I love doing these strips, I am starting to run out of ideas.  Rather than force things and put out an inferior comic, I think it'd be best leave on top, while they're still fresh.

Now, this isn't totally goodbye.  M&M and Mushrooms still have until December, not to mention there's still more books coming out.  So there's plenty of goofy fun left with these wild characters!  And I look forward to sharing each tale with you.

THE CRAZY FRONTIER

We're back with another new feature: GET CRAZY WEEK!!!  Yup, almost every month, y'all will get to see some guest strips I've done for other cartoonists!  First up, this comic for the Great Dawn Griffin of Zorphbert & Fred!

Don't laugh!  Zubaz pants were really comfortable!  And Genesis was the greatest console ever!  SEGA FOR LIFE Y'ALL!

Doing a guest strip is a HUGE honor for us cartoonists.  It's like a right of passage of sorts.  And in the Web Comics Realm, Dawn Griffin is a true titan!  She didn't originate the genre, but she's certainly helped make it a very big deal!  Her Zorphbert & Fred strip is one of the best comics period, and her Web Comic Alliance is a benefit for any that ply this trade.  

When Dawn asked me to do a guest comic, I was pumped!  We both share a love of all things retro, and since 80's are kinda played out, I decided to deck Fred out early-90's style!  I like to think he's listening to Another Bad Creation's "Playground" on that boombox!  Why did we carry large radios on our shoulders?  Because they were actually cheaper than Walkman's!  And if you don't know what a Walkman is, that's just plain sad!  And yes, I DID have quite a few pairs of Zubaz pants!  LOVED those things!

GUEST WEEK!!! "PILE" ON THE LAUGHS SIMON!!!

Welcome to the first official post in the new Guest Week feature!  First up, an old pal of the CRAZYVERSE, the wonderful and whimsical Simon McLaren of Bullet Paw and other wonderful art.  Enjoy...

Talk about getting the "Cold" shoulder!  Mindy always seems to get the "Drop" on Mike!  Those two just keep "Piling" it on!  OK, OK, no more puns today.  I promise!

Simon is no stranger to these reaches having done guest art before in addition to his brilliant CCE pieces! He has once again delivered another solid Mike And Mindy guest strip.  His art style is so beautiful and whimsical.  I love how he uses colored pencils for his colors.  He's also one of the nicest people on Twitter.  Thanks again Simon for taking such good care of my "Kids!"

Guess what?  It's CCE time!  That's right folks got a whole new theme and here it is:

MUSHROOMS: SCIENTIFICALLY ACCURATE!!!

And we're back!  Big happenings in the CRAZYVERSE this week!  But more on that later.  Right now, it's Mushrooms!  We strive to be educational here at the 'Verse, and hope everybody will get something out of this new strip!

 Talk about a "Gas!"  Now we all know, and that's always been half the battle!  Gotta be honest, as great as this gag is, I'm not too happy with the outcome of the comic itself.  I used a new pencil that not only wouldn't sharpen, but it wouldn't erase!  All light colors on here were done in Photoshop, which really eats at me inside.  I prefer to do it all by hand.  As great as PrismaColor's markers are, their pencils are not as up to par.

And now, here it is!  BUBBLE FOX!!!

Yup!  He's finally here and ready for laughs!  The update schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays every week or until I run out of ideas!  I'm really excited about this new addition to the CRAZYVERSE and hope y'all like the strips!  It's my first attempt at a weekly comic, so we'll see how it all goes.

WELCOME 2014!!! CRAZYVERSE STYLE!!!

Welcome, welcome welcome to the year 2014!  It's already better than 2013 don't ya think?  I got a lot of fun planned this year, including a new comic series, Bubble Fox, launching next week, and the fourth CRAZYVERSARY happening next month!  I'll also be launching a new feature this month, Guest Week, with a new Mike And Mindy guest strip every month!  (The great Simon McLaren is on deck for January!)  The last post of each month will now feature guest art I've done for other artists!  So sit back and enjoy all the CRAZINESS in store for 2014!

In the meantime, Mike and Mindy are back and celebrating their soon to be debuting pal, Bubble Fox, by having some "Bubbly" fun!  Let's hope those "Blowhards" don't take things too far...

Wow!  Talk about "Bursting" your bubble!  Poor Mike.  He wasn't "Large and in charge" in this strip!  Hopefully Mindy can glue him back together in time for the CRAZYVERSARY next month!

JAMMIN' INTO THE NEW YEAR!!!

And we're back!  Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas and aren't too sad it's all over.  I'm actually kinda happy the Holidays are passing.  Two-and-a-half months of nonstop Christmas programming can be a lot sometimes!  I'm also happy to see 2013 end.  This wasn't a very good year for me on a personal level.  Many trials I'm afraid.

Creatively speaking, however, 2013 had many things for me to be proud of at least.  I put out some very funny comics, made many new friends, launched a new book and did fairly well at two of the three Cons I exhibited at.  Life's all about silver linings folks.  Gotta take the good with the bad.  I'm alive, still making comics and having fun while doing it.  Can't ask for more than that.

There's much to look forward to in 2014.  More hilarity from Mike And Mindy and Mushrooms are on the horizon and Bubble Fox will officially launch in the coming month!  And let's not forget, the animation Kickstarter with Kim Belding of Picpak Dog!  I know we've talked about it on our sites numerous times, but I promise it's gonna happen.  Just gotta catch up with real life first is all.

A rather large announcement is also coming towards the end of January.  This one's not gonna be easy to make but is a necessary one.  But more on that when the time comes.  2014 is shaping up to be a busy year already.  Hope y'all are ready for the ride!

But enough on 2014 for now.  Let's send 2013 off on a good note.  It's time to Jam... ART JAM that is! I took part in a few of art collaborations this year, and here are the results!  Enjoy...  

 First up, this piece for Jackie Williams' Festival Of Robots Art Jam!  Had a lot of fun with this piece featuring two robots relizing they exist.  It was only the second time I've ever drawn robots!  Thanks again Jackie for giving me such a fun opportunity!

 Next up, another piece for Jackie, this time for the Trick And Treats Art Jam!  I can't give away too much on this one other than it features a character from a story I'm doing that is literally YEARS away from being seen!  So stay "Tooned!"

Last up, we have "Cactuar" from Edgar Recinos' Final Fantasy Art Jam!  Really loved doing this goofy character.  Given my CCE history, guess it was a given I'd pick this one!

GUEST ART FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

One more week to Christmas!  I got my CRAZY Christmas Tree up and decorated and am just about done getting all my CRAZY Christmas gifts bought!  Yes sir, it's gonna be one CRAZY Christmas if you haven't caught on yet!
