MARK GETS CRAZY!!!

Well, we've come to it at last.  The closing of the CRAZYVERSARY.  Now, now, don't be sad.  We had a great time and saw many wonderful guest strips!  There's no reason to cry.  No seriously, stop crying!  It's about to get even wetter momentarily thanks to the guest strip by Mark Stokes of Zombie Boy...

Poor Mindy.  You think she'd know better than to ask Mike to help cure her hiccups!  Bloated and squeezed ain't a nice way to treat girls Mike!  At least her nostrils got cleared though.  And as any good denizen of the CRAZYVERSE knows, what goes around ALWAYS comes around with these two!  Enjoy your revenge Mindy!

Mere words aren't enough to describe the amount of respect I have for Mark Stokes, creator of Zombie Boy, one of the first true web comics.  Mark is more than a friend, he's also a mentor and not just to me, but to so many other aspiring cartoonists out there.  He's a very kind and giving man and I'm thrilled to count him among the CRAZY!  I even did this guest strip for him last month, a little piece called "Bloomer Buds."  Thanks again Mark.  It was an honor to have The King on board!

Well, thus ends the 2014 CRAZYVERSARY.  Thank you all so much for joining me in this celebration.  I wanna thank all my great artist pals for helping me out and for taking such good care of my "kids!"  And thank you to the many wonderful fans of the CRAZYVERSE!  Your kindness and support has been great these last four years and well into year five.  I know this may be the end of the line for the original strips, but I promise there's still plenty of water left in this well.  The best is yet to come!  Thank you again and God bless all of you.

STEPHEN GETS CRAZY!!!

Welcome back!  Time keeps on ticking... ticking... ticking... Into the future... Oh wait, that's a different deal!  Nope, we're just ticking away at the CRAZYVERSARY Stephen Beals of Adult Children has stopped by to"Lift" our spirits!  Enjoy...

 Whoa!  Talk about a well "Rounded" diet!  Poor little Claremont.  Who knew such a little dog could hold so much air!  What's the PSI on a K9 anyway? (Only in the CRAZYVERSE can such questions be pondered!)

 Stephen Beals is a fabulous cartoonist known for his series Adult Children, a funny slice of life comic that hits home for so many of us that realize how absurd adulthood really is!  One of the characters is a little dog called Claremont.  As Stephen explained to me, Claremont saw this comic and decided he wanted to give Mike and Mindy a little break.  Little did he know just how "Big" the CRAZY duo's responsibilities can really be!  The look on his face is priceless!  Thanks so much for this lovely toon Stephen!  Claremont should take advantage of his expanded size with the neighborhood big dogs before deflating!

JESSE GETS CRAZY!!!

Middle of the week!  The last hump day of the 2014 CRAZYVERSARY!  So let's cut to the "Chase" and get right to it!  Jesse Kiefer of Tank-Monkey dropped in, and he's "Plowing" on through...

Oh my!  And you thought they were dangerous with Helium tanks and anvils!  Mike and Mindy in a tank... OH THE HUMANITY!!!

Jesse Kiefer is the brilliant mind behind the web comic Tank-Monkey, the tale of a rescued lab monkey and his deep love of tanks!  Jesse's also a huge wrestling fan like me and together we've had some pretty wild conversations about the good, the bad and the hilarious of that CRAZY industry known as sports entertainment!  Jesse's a really cool dude and a great pal!  Thanks again Jesse!  And I apologize in advance for any damages those two may cause in that tank!

WARREN GETS CRAZY... AGAIN!!!

Welcome back my CRAZIES!  Got a very special treat today!  My pal Warren Frantz of Off Season delivered this awesome strip playing on a "Friendly" rivalry that began last year!  Enjoy...

Hoo boy them Golz Gals are something else!  At least no fights broke out this time around!  Can't wait to see how this competition plays out next time!

Warren Frantz is one of the coolest guys I know, hands down.  Always there for me with helpful advice and encouragement, I truly am honored and lucky to have such a good friend like him.  His comics are always hilarious and never fail to bring smiles!  Be sure to checkout the Off Season's current storyline: The BrOlympics!  Thanks again Warren, brother!  Gayle and Gloria are always welcome to play another round with Mike and Mindy!  Perhaps even become Bloomer Buds!

CHRIS GETS CRAZY!!!

And so begins the fourth and final week of the CRAZYVERSARY!  Never fear though, because we still have five solid guest strips left!  And it all starts with this "Frosty" encounter from Chris Grady of Lunarbaboon Comic!

Kids today and their short attention spans! Poor Frosty.  Is it me or does "Snowmen With Abandonment Issues" sound like a perfect topic for Dr. Phil?

Chris Grady is no stranger to these parts, having participated in the last two Crazy Cartoon Experiments.  In fact, this guest strip is a prequel of sorts to his last entry, which featured a space-challenged Frosty on a subway car!  His comic, Lunarbaboon, is one of the most insanely funny toons out there!  It's a must read for anyone in need of a laugh or two!  Thanks again for this hilarious strip Chris!  Tell Moishe he's always welcome to come play with Mike and Mindy again!

Week Three of the CRAZYVERSARY has come to a close.  This sure has gone quick, but we still have lot's of fun left!  And it starts with today's strip from CRUNCHY BUNCHES creator Scott Warren!  So let's "Rise" up and take a look...

Wow!  How much helium are they filled with if only four of them are needed to lift the house!  Is it me or are Mike and Mindy at their cutest when they are all bloated like that?

Scott Warren is one of my favorite creators on the web.  His comic, CRUNCHY BUNCHES, is a must read for anybody that remembers what it was like to wake up early Saturday morning and munch on cereal while watching cartoons!  I really love his take here as well as his inclusion of the Helium-Filled Dog and Bubble Fox!  Nice to mix the old with the new!  Mike and Mindy have downed their fair share of helium over the years, and Scott really nailed that fact!  Thanks again dude!

JOSH GETS CRAZY!!!

Another day, another Guest Strip here at the CRAZYVERSARY!!!  My old pal Joshua Hauke from Tales Of The Brothers Three has stopped by and delivered quite the "Hair-Raising" adventure for us!  So let's "Cut" out and take a look...

Whoa!  Talk about a close "Shave!"  Mindy looks good with a friar cut!  Very modern and trendy indeed!  Nice to see Mike finally win a battle here.  Everybody else keeps giving Mindy the win!

Josh Hauke is an insanely talented cartoonist and a very dear friend of mine, having braved two conventions together now and prepping for a third!  Last year he did a hilarious guest strip for the CRAZYVERSARY and amazingly enough tops himself with this hysterical entry!  He recently put out his second book, The Moose Kisser, which can be bought at his site here!  Thanks again Josh!  Wondercon's gonna be even better now knowing that your book will be available!

RYAN GETS CRAZY!!!

CRAZYVERSARY WEEK THREE HUMP DAY!!!  And Ryan Klassen of the comic City Folk has dropped a hilarious toon off!  So let's spruce ourselves up and see all the fun...  

First rule of life folks: ALWAYS LOCK THE DOOR!!!  Good thing she wasn't visiting on Taco Night!  That could've been traumatizing for both!

Ryan Klassen is the artist behind the wildly popular City Folk web comic, a tale of a Moose and a Beaver attempting to make a go of it in the big city!  Ryan is a recent friend of the CRAZYVERSE and a like me is a total Night Owl!  We've had some fun nights on Twitter recently and he kindly whipped up this strip in a matter of minutes!  I wish I was that fast and that funny!  Thanks again Ryan!  You are truly amazing!

Uh oh Bubble!  That's gonna be a severe case of indigestion!  Exploding Bloomers just aren't practical Mindy.  But they are very funny!

Nicole McCurry is a very cool cartoonist that's quickly rising up the web comics scene!  Her rendition of Mindy and Bubble are a blast (No pun intended oddly enough)  and I look forward to more of her work down the road!  Thanks again Nicole!

Welcome to CRAZYVERSARY Week Three y'all!  We're moving along at a nice pace here and are kicking things off with Yeti 4 Hire creator Jeff Crowther!

Talk about being the boy in a bubble!  Mike sure ain't having any luck in these guest strips!  Then again, Mindy really is that clever!

Jeff Crowther does a fun all-ages tale called Yeti 4 Hire, the tale of a spunky little girl named Veronica who takes in a jobless Yeti!  Together, they fight crime, solve mysteries and just plain have a good time!  I really do love Jeff's work.  Aside from having some of the cleanest line-work you'll ever see, his comics are just fun to read, as any good comic should be!  Thanks again Jeff!  Yeti and Veronica are always welcome around these parts!

JOE GETS CRAZY!!!

WOO HOO!!! HUMP DAY!!!  We're midway through week two and we got a very special treat from fabulous cartoonist Joe Mettam of Australia...

It's finally happened!  Mike and Mindy have been animated!  How appropriate this one premiered just after the launch of the Kickstarter Campaign!  That's gotta be a good sign for our project!

Joe Mettam is no stranger to these parts having already brought Bubble Fox to life as well!  His work is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen and his animal art is pure joy to look at.  Joe has made my dream come true twice now as both my creations have been animated.  Thanks again Joe.  You are a truly CRAZY pal!

What goes around around!  Talk about a "Hot" flash!  These two have always had "Sparks' between them..  And "Burn" the candle at both ends!

Thomas Barnett, the genius behind The Li'l Miesters, is no stranger to the CRAZYVERSE, having taken part in the most recent CCE.  His strip is one the funniest on the web and a real charming tale that harkens back to the wonders childhood.  I love the gag here and his take on Mike and Mindy!  I don't think their eyes have ever been so huge before!  Thanks again Thomas!  You rock dude!

HELEN GETS CRAZY!!!

Well, we've reached the end of the first week of the CRAZYVERSARY, and what better way to cap it off than with a real "Sweet Treat" from Helen Madden, creator of The Adventures Of Cynical Woman!  Enjoy...

I tell ya what, who wouldn't get hungry at the sight of two giant cookies walking around!  Guess you can say this treat was definitely one to sink your "Teeth" into!

Helen Madden is the artist behind the hilarious comic The Adventures Of Cynical Woman, the tale of a writer and her many wild situations.  Helen's comic is a true slice of life and one that strikes close to anyone who's a parent.  I laughed quite heartily when I received this strip and simply love this gag!  Thanks again Helen!  Tell Princess and Pixie they're always welcome for another "Play-Date" with Mike and Mindy!  But they should probably just where regular clothes!

KIM GETS CRAZY!!!

Another day, another CRAZY reveler!  And this time my good pal Kim Belding of Picpak Dog is taking on the Guest Strip duties!  So let's see what Kim's dropped on us this time...

 Wow!  Kim really rolled out the red, er, BLACK carpet for this one!  Poor Mike.  He always seems to be the butt of the joke in these strips!  Guess he's just a "Fall" guy!

Picpak Dog Kim Belding is no stranger to these reaches, having taken part in every Crazy Cartoon Experiment thus far and even allowing Mike and Mindy to inflate him in last year's CRAZYVERSARY Guest Strip!  He's one of my dearest friends and one of the best cartoonists in comics today.  Months ago we announced plans for a Kickstarter campaign to fund an animation project based on our strips, and I'm happy to say we're FINALLY ready to finally kick this sucker off!  The campaign launches today!  Be sure to check Kim's site for more info!

Day two and the CRAZYVERSARY "Slithers" on!  Bug Pudding creator J.P. Keslensky was kind enough to draw this one for me, so here it is for all to debate over...

My name is nothing to "Sneeze" at and has long been a source of debate as to the proper way to pronounce it.  Admittedly, Esparza's not very a common name, even among Hispanic circles.  But, it is what it is and I'm proud of it!

J.P. Keslensky is the creator of the beloved Bug Pudding, a tale of the hilarious critters that populate Lake Tuberville and their wild adventures.  I truly appreciate J.P. making me the center of attention in this one.  Quite an honor1  And although J.P. will never admit it, he is a true dude, and a particularly cool one too!

THE CRAZYVERSARY BEGINS!!!

 WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME TO THE FOURTH CRAZYVERSARY CELEBRATION!!!  And while it's true that Mike And Mindy and Mushrooms are both ending in December, that doesn't mean we can't end it on a high note!  We got some amazing Guest Strips lined up from some awesome cartooning pals that were all too happy to help kick off the start of the CRAZY New Year!  So sit back and relax as we celebrate the CRAZINESS that began one cold, gray February morning back in 2010...

Oh yeah... did I mention there's new comics too?!  Well, there are!  First up, Mike And Mindy...

 Wow!  Talk about failure to "Launch!"  Looks like Mindy's gone super sonic!  Too bad those bloomers and bow aren't as aerodynamic!  Eh, they probably would've slowed her down anyway.  And yes, after four years, Mike has finally tied his shoe!  Somewhere, my pal Chandra is smiling.

Up next, a heaping helping of Mushrooms!  Mike and Mindy wanted to do yet another profile on their beloved creator, and I just can't say no to those faces!  Speaking of which, panel five up above marks another CRAZY first: The first time one of my characters has ever stared straight ahead!  After all these years I finally figured it out!  Anyway, here's the next toon...

Why those little...  Look, the Rhombus thing was just a dare, and was actually quite exhilarating!  And you try finding time to do laundry when you got a mountain of homework to do!  Plus, my Mom worked very hard on that Ninja Turtle costume!  And I'll have you know wearing underwear on your head while folding clothes brings good fortune!  I can't deny the ice cream scoop.  It just works better!  And polka metal's gonna be big!  Just you wait!  And I am a very good sport!  I even ordered the jaws of life for them to get those wedgies out and provided extra-soft pillows for sitting!
