Welcome to March 2026 my CRAZIES!!! We are just WEEKS away from WonderCon 2026, and excitement here at the CRAZYVERSE is reaching critically dangerous levels! My room is booked, my restaurant tables are reserved and I am currently working hard to get into Con shape! I am eating insane amounts of M&M's and Doritos while guzzling gallons of Code Red Mountain Dew. Sure, this is killing my liver while adding extra stress to my heart, but comic conventions are worth the future health risks! Anyway, y'all came here for some past WonderCon pics, and your old Uncle CRAZY'S gonna deliver! This week, we head back to 2019, the final WonderCon before the pandemic. The time and location are set, so hold on to your trading pins because the CRAZY WonderCon Countdown is live! Enjoy...
Everybody needs a good Maug by their side!
Somehow, I don't think she needs the extra bodyguards!
You'd think Dragon Balls would be bigger. MUCH bigger! What? Why are you looking at me like that?
COBRAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Glad to see that Doug Funny and Patty Mayonnaise finally settled down. Now if only the stain of the Disney version of Doug could be erased!
My dear friend Amanda, who's one of the nation's premier Cosplayers, celebrated a big milestone at WonderCon as she was part of her first panel!
Isn't that sweet? This friendly clown just wants too spread some love around this disheartening world!
Tom Servo has now taken to riffing on Cosplayers!
The Goblin King sure gets around!
It's not quite the spectacle of San Diego Comic Con, but the foot traffic of WonderCon can still be pretty intense, especially on Saturdays.
Our good pal Ed gets the party started in the Fountain Plaza! Hopefully the iconic Fountain will be fixed this year after a longer than expected renovation.
I tell ya, opening a Star Tours Terminal at the Anaheim Convention Center has made getting to Disneyland so much easier during the show!
When the Hip Hop Stormtrooper gets the beat going, you HAVE to bust a move!
And finally, we'll end this week with a pair of Cosplayers who have really become quite iconic at cons throughout Southern California, the Hawk People! The wings fully open and retract and the craftsmanship is easily on par with anything from a Hollywood studio. I've always admired folks with such incredible abilities.
And that was WonderCon 2019! An odd year in that trouble on the home front made it tough to enjoy myself until literally the last few hours of the show. And of course, within a few weeks after the show, a lot of those troubles would clear up! Always seems to work that way, doesn't it? Still, I did have some fun at Disneyland during the trip and scored some really cool old comics during the show, which has really become a passion of mine in recent years. A glass is always better to be half full than half empty.
Well, only a few weeks left until the big show, but we are gonna keep on plugging away until showtime, so be sure to come back next week as the CRAZY WonderCon Countdown chugs on! Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!
