BATTLEFIELD: EVIL LITTLE PRINCESSLOONS, GOLD VS. BLUE!!!

We've come to the end CRAZIES.  The VERY end.  As final as it gets.  The very last CRAZYVERSE post ever...  Of January 2024!  What you thought I was quitting?  Never!  So long as I have at least ONE reader left, I'll keep slogging off post after post until I inevitably drop dead by choking on a ham sandwich in my bathtub!  Until then, we still got one more bit of inflated art meant to combat bad inflation with good, so let's bounce right in before someone grabs a pin and send January off floating!  Enjoy... 

In history, there have been many great battles.  USA vs. USSR, Rocky vs. Apollo Creed, the Yankees vs. the Red Sox, even Spy vs. Spy.  But no rivalry in recent years has quite matched up in the way that this one has.  I'm talking about the battle between the Gold Evil Little Princess and the Blue Evil Little Princess!  These sisters share purple hair and the same mother, but not much else!  Their constant bickering has driven all within the castle nearly mad, from the goblin servants to the bats in the belfry to even the Queen herself!  In this piece, they've taken their sibling rivalry to new heights AND girths!  In an effort to prove that one was bigger than the other, they took to inflating themselves!  I swear there are politicians that can't hold THAT much hot air!  Will it ever end?  Only they, and their clothes, know for sure!  These wickedly adorable Evil Little Princesses are the creation of my dear friend Nora Racz.  A most fabulous illustrator, she posted some art of these vicious tykes driving their mother crazy one day and it set all our hearts ablaze!  With a little encouraging, there's now quite the series of these princesses battling it out, even teaming up once to inflate the queen!  I knew I needed one more post for my Fan Art Fridays on Twitter last year, and I didn't have to look far for inspiration.  Right now the Gold Princess has one more win than the Blue one.  We'll have to see what Nora does next!

THE GHOSTLY BOUNCE HOUSE!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  Only a week left to go in this first month of 2024!  I'm pretty excited about what's coming up, but we still gotta finish up what's left, and with two posts to go, I see no reason to waste any time, so let's see what the cat, or in this case, CATS, dragged in!  Enjoy...

 

Oh my!  Don't those wild cats know that if you inflate a ghost, it'll fart out harmful styrofoam packing peanuts?!?  Think of the environmental impact!!!  This effort was a piece of fan art for two of my favorite creators, Chesca and J. Hause, the masterminds behind the hilarious Litterbox Comics and Grisley Comic!  Irreverent, dark, outrageous and always silly, their work is both inspiring and uplifting and I just couldn't help putting this CRAZY family of cats in a CRAZY situation mashing up both of their hilarious comics!  It's easy to assume that ghosts can't inflate, but I'd imagine it'd be closer to parachute rules more that balloon rules.  Air can be trapped, but not fully contained.  These are the kind of things that animators and cartoonists have to comprehend while coming up with gags for our stories!

SUMMER BLUBBIN'!!!

Welcome back CRAZIES!!!  We've reached the midway point of January!  We're not too far off from Pink Halloween, aka Valentines Day, but since I have no significant other, I'll just have to look forward to Mardi Gras instead.  That one's more fun anyway.  Better food, better decorations and all the beads I can carry!  Of course, as these days grow colder, one does start to pine for the warmer months that ARE on the horizon, but still a bit off.  Luckily, Bubble and pals are happy to oblige us in some Summer Lovin'!  Or in this case, Blubbin'!  We are still in a Loony mood as our salute to inflation continues with more cartoon buoyancy!  Enjoy...

Willow doesn't have it easy being Bubble's girlfriend.  She does love her foxy fella for sure, but it is quite hazardous tagging along with a walking disaster like Bubble Fox, and Willow has accidentally been on the receiving end of his shenanigans many times.  So, it was on this occasion that she decided to take a preemptive strike and render Bubble helpless before he can render her hapless!  Pepper, sadly, seemed to be caught in the crossfire of Willow just wanting a nice relaxing float at the beach!  Even the octopus seems a bit puzzled by it all!  This piece was part of the CRAZY Summer Blow Up that Jennifer Cuthbert and I hosted on Twitter last summer.  A fun event that called for artists to turn their characters into inflatables and pool floaties, it was a nice addition to the other CRAZY events we host throughout the year, and I look forward to its return in August!

WHO YA GONNA CALL?!? BUBBLE BUSTERS!!!

We are back CRAZIES!!!  Ten days into January already, can you believe it?!?  It'll be Shamrock Shake Season before we know it!  But enough about that.  Our fight against inflation continues as we work to battle the bad bloating with the good bloating, and this week we get some celebrity help!  Don't believe me?  Scroll down and see for yourself!  Enjoy...

Bubble you clod!  You don't inflate guests!  Especially guests with super powers!  Will that daffy fox ever learn?!?  The victim in question is AK Girl, the star of the popular Reynard City comics created by Rob Turner.  AK Girl is a foxy fighter who kicks quite a lot of butt but has one rather large problem: Anytime she touches caramel, she inflates!  Making matters worse, most of her enemies are aware of her affliction and always try to take advantage of it.  Luckily for AK Girl, she's as crafty as any fox, and always finds a way to win!  Helium on the other hand...  She's still working that one out!  Bubble wasn't exactly trying to be mean.  In addition to wanting to do fan art for her, he was also playing catch up with Helium Discovery Day!  They should all be thankful that at least it wasn't National Balloon Popping Day.  Things could've gotten messy with that!  AK Girl eventually deflated and made a mad dash for her life out off the Crazy Forest, vowing never to return again.  Who could blame her?!?

Another week down as we countdown to Christmas (Be honest, a lot of you already are and you know it!), but fear not!  PLENTY of fun to be had between then and now, and we're doing our part by having more Loony art for you next week, so be sure to come back and check it out!  Until then, take care, stay safe and I'll catch y'all later!

HAPPY LOON YEAR!!!

 

HAPPY NEW YEAR CRAZIES!!!  Or is that LOON Year?  That's right folks!  As has become tradition here at the CRAZYVERSE, we start the year off with our Looniest art to offer!  But first, special mention must be given to the art at the top of the page.  Hard as it may be to believe, Bubble Fox has reached his Tenth Anniversary!  That's right folks, that crafty but clumsy fox that I created pretty much on a lark has proven to have quite a bit of longevity to him!  It's been a wild decade of wacky hijinks, and we hope the next ten years will be even wackier!  Be sure to celebrate with bubble and pals by heading over to the BubbleFox website to check out his new story and see some special guest comics posting every Friday in January!

And now, on with the show!  Inflation is a rather big problem not only in America, but in the world at large.  Here at the CRAZYVERSE though, inflation is a great source of laughter, as well as it should be, because it is the most cartooniest of cartoon gags!  Well, save for painting a tunnel on a wall and the tunnel actually working, but that's neither here nor there!  All this month, we are fighting bad inflation with good inflation, so be prepared for some belly laughs, and at those sizes, the laughs should be pretty loud too!  Let's get the ball rolling here!  Enjoy...

Oh. my!  Looks like these animals decided to flip the script on the kids!  You've all heard of balloon animals, but balloon kids are a newer trend!  In actuality, this was the finale of the great Twitter Art Collective, Animaloonies.  Started as a means to just draw silly art, for nearly seven years, the Loonies looned everything from dogs and cats to crocodiles and even llamas!  Among the final themes from 2023 were Platypusloons and Alpacaloons.  In my entry, some bratty kids inflated these hapless critters, so I decided that for the grand finale, which was any previous loon we wanted, I'd let the platypus and alpaca have their revenge.  And they seem quite happy knowing justice was served!  Will the Loons ever float again?  We can only hope so, but for now, thank you to all who took part and thank you to our beloved Helium Heiress, Nora, for keeping it going as long as she did!  It was a great run and we hope to inflate again someday!
