EVERYTHING FLOATS ON HALLOWEEN!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN MY CRAZIES!!!  Mike and Mindy decided to "Drop" by and provide a few laughs before the spookiness begins!  Ya know, there's a valuable lesson to be learned here.  Actually, there are two: Never try to scare a kid with an industrial strength magnet and always use a belt with a plastic buckle!  At least Mike wore some seasonally appropriate undies for the occasion!  But hey!  It's Halloween!  I think this occasion calls for something a little more than pratfall cartoon gags.  This calls for some celebrity presence!  So here it is!  Enjoy...

Pennywise the Clown has long struck fear into hearts of millions through the adaptations of Stephen King's IT.  And as iconic as Tim Curry's classic portrayal in the 1990 TV miniseries was,  the Pennywise of 2017's film adaptation was definitely WAY the hell scarier!  Seriously, that movie frightened people so much that the clown industry reported severe drops in party bookings worldwide!  But hey!  This is the CRAZYVERSE, so ANYTHING can be humanized, including Pennywise!  Another Animal Alphabets entry, I figured since the demonic clown lurks in sewers, surely even he has some kind of weakness?  And he does!  Believe me, Sloppy Joe Night and Curry Night scares Pennywise too!  It's times like these that having allergies can actually be a benefit!

And that's a wrap for October folks.  We'll be back next week to kick off November and see how Ol' Tom Turkey fares this year.  And since today is Halloween, a reminder to all to be safe out there and keep an eye on the little ones trick-or-treating.  Make the streets safe for them tonight.  Take care y'all and I'll catch y'all later!

VIGO AND SUNNY... TUGGING AT HEARTSTRINGS AND WAISTBANDS!!!

HELLOOOOOOOO CRAZIES!!!  Only one week to go until Halloween!  With any luck, I'll have my new prop built and already displayed in my front yard, but that my friends is a story for another day.  Instead, we'll be putting today's focus on a couple of precocious vampires that are proof that opposites attract, minus Paula Abdul and MC Skat Cat.  So hike up them pants and hold on to your undies because today's post is a go!  Enjoy...

YOUCH!!!  That looked like it hurt!  Good thing briefs stretch!  This piece, as well as all the pieces this month now that I think of it, came from Animal Alphabets.  As part of their fantasy creatures theme, Vampires were selected for the letter V and I felt what better way to take part than by paying homage to two of my favorite artists and pals, Vigo the Vampire creator Danny Fry and Vinnie the Vampire creator Tim Green!  Here, we see Sunny, the personification of trouble, giving Vigo an Atomic Wedgie!  They say kids who have crushes on each other tend to be mean to each other due to the lack of ability to properly communicate feelings.  If this is love, I'd say Sunny's hoping to marry poor Vigo someday!  I suppose the natural follow up to this piece would've included an EMT unit, forceps and the jaws of life!

So ends another week here at the CRAZYVERSE.  We'll be back next time to finish October off on Halloween day itself!  We even got a very high-profile star to commit, so be sure to come back and check it out!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

WAFTING WHILE YOU WORK!!!

Greetings and salutations dear CRAZIES!  We are midway through October already and inching closer to Halloween!  Some movie magic seemed to be in order for today, and it don't get much more magical than the world of Hayao Miyazaki's beloved film Spirited Away!  So sit back and take a CRAZY look at one of the film's most memorable characters!  Enjoy...

Few people realize that animated stars can get typecast too.  When you possess a fluttering and tube-like frame such as No-Face's, there's just not a whole lot of acting work to be gained.  And rather than wait for Spirited Away 2 to be made, No-Face simply went to the used car lot and got a job as a Wacky Waving Inflatable Salesman Sign!  Hey, work is work and it's cheaper than a billboard!  This was another entry for Animal Alphabets who earlier this year did a Horror Monsters theme.  No-Face represented the letter N and I just couldn't resist being silly with it!  He doesn't even need a fan to perform his primary function!

That's all for now folks.  Got a very special post next week as a couple of old pals will be stopping by to yank some laughs out of the crevices of boredom, so be sure to stop by and check it out!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

WAOOOOOOOOO... WEREWOLVES OF LONDON!!!

We are back and so is the art my CRAZIES!  Tis the season for spooky dealings, so why not get back into the swing of things with some musically inclined werewolves?  After all, it ain't Halloween with a few werewolves, am I right?  So let's get to it!  Enjoy...

There are only two things that can stop a werewolf in its tracks: A silver bullet and classic rock songs!  And no song gets a wolfman grooving better than Warren Zevon's 1978 classic "Werewolves Of London"!  It's the kind a song that you and your friends jam to on long car trips and it's sure to settle down even the most vicious of werewolves.  That or distract them long enough to make a quick getaway!  This entry came from Animal Alphabets back in 2016.  They were doing a fantasy creature theme and although werewolves are technically human, they're wolf-like enough to be creatures still.  Had fun drawing this one and remember getting a lot of nice comments for using the song.  For many of us, it was a staple of childhood.  Warren Zevon passed away a while back, but he sure did leave behind some great tunes for people AND wolves to enjoy!

I think we'll call it a day for now, but fear not, we'll be back next week with some "Spirited" art that will hopefully take you "Away" to a place full joy and laughs.  And pizza, because, why not?  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

LONG BEACH COMIC CON GETS THE HAUNTING SEASON STARTED!!!

WELCOME TO OCTOBER MY CRAZIES!!!  Tis the season for some haunting!  And part of that haunting usually involves costumes, and there's no better place to find some at than a Comic Con.  And wouldn't ya know it?  I just went to one up in Long Beach!  Yup, it was my eighth-straight year at the Long Beach Comic Con where I had a wonderful time and saw some amazing cosplay.  So rather than ramble on, I'm just gonna launch right into the pics. Enjoy...

The King of the Oceans, Aquaman has a lot to prove this fall when he finally gets a solo film!  Will it work?  We'll just have to see for ourselves.

A bulldog wookie!  I want one so bad!

Robocop is still on a mission to find former WCW Promoter Jim Herd to collect on some back pay.

This is one of the best Madeye cosplays I've ever seen!

Now and forever, this Cats cosplay may well be the most random cosplay I've ever seen at a con!  Leave it to LBCC for the wacky stuff to surface, which I absolutely love by the way!

John Hammond spared no expense on his cosplay props!

Think they had a little too much fun doing the "Time Warp Again!"

It's always nice for some "Dance Magic" to be brought to a con!

This Small Wonder had all of us 80's kids in awe over her VIKKI cosplay!

BEST COSPLAY OF THE CON!!!  Skipper, Gilligan, Mary-Anne and Ginger totally killed it!

Another superb cosplay!  Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman truly is iconic.

Angelica may not be an angelic character, but this was a great cosplay!

Predator Ewok!  We'll probably see these in the future now that Disney owns Fox.

Dummies can be pretty evil in theory.

LBCC had live pro wrestling going on all weekend!  Sadly, it wasn't exactly up to par with some of the stuff we see on TV.  A few of the wrestlers didn't even look old enough to drive yet!  Still, they had an impressive setup at least and who knows?  Maybe someday we'll see some of them in WWE or ROH.

Maskless Deadpool photobombing Peridot!

Little buff Flash meeting the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla!

The Yip Yaps!

An insanely good Jafar!  This dude was nearly 7ft tall too!

The legendary Sega Mark III, the Holy Grail for Sega Collectors!

For the first time ever, Joe Dirt cosplay!

Batman in bat-business attire doing the bat-dance!

A spot-on Captain Eo here to change the world!

Johnny V can now be spotted hanging out with the R2 Builders Club!  No one under the age of 30 knew who he was either.  Ingrates!

Few know of the crossover storyline where the Venom symbiote attacked the Green Power Ranger prior to attacking Peter Parker.

Party on Wayne!  Party on Garth!

Cholo Thanos with the Infinity Chancla!  This isn't the same one that I saw at SDCC back in July.  Still hilarious and awesome though.  We've reached a point where there are now cosplayers of cosplayers at cons!

And that was Long Beach Comic Con 2018.  A very short weekend that went by far too fast, but still a lot of fun!  LBCC has suffered in recent years in that other big cons are happening the same weekend, drawing away many longtime exhibitors.  Hopefully this won't be a continuing trend because LBCC is such a fun show and I really miss many of the booths that used to be there regularly.  Still, it was a great time had by all and I look forward to next year's show.  Thanks again for a wonderful weekend Long Beach!

And that's that!  Some spooky fun art is heading your way starting next week, so be ready!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!
