WONDERCON 2013 IS ON THE HORIZON!!!

It's that time again!  The start of the Con Season for your's truly!  I'm really looking forward to going to Wondercon next week in Anaheim.  My last Con was bitter sweet due to a very sad circumstance that occurred before I left.  Hopefully, fate will be more kind with this show.  I got my books, my freebies and all my booth accessories packed and ready to go!  But before I fire up the engine and hit the road, let's take a look back at last year's show!  They Wayback's been set to last March!  Strap in and hold on tight!  Wondercon 2012, HERE WE COME!!!

Luffy makes an appearance!  Always glad to see One Piece cosplay at a con.  Now if only the rest of the Strawhats would appear!

A look from the other side of the table.  It was so hard to sit still for three days.  I'm still in fan mode, so it's tough to watch everyone else have fun!  Even worse, the guy next to me no showed and a restroom blocked out my isle, so we didn't get a lot of visitors that weekend.

And there's Waldo!  Jesus dude, you aren't even trying anymore are you?!

It's the Green Slacker, er, Lantern!  Gotta love the absurd originality of this dude!  Very funny costume!

It's the Warner Bros! And the Warner Sister Dot!  Much like me, they were in fact "Zany to the Max!" Unfortunately, they insisted I join them putting baloney in their slacks!  Talk about awkward!

Wondercon fell on St. Patrick's Day last year, so Chewy O'Bacca decided to pay everyone a visit!  T'was a fine visit too!

It's a Star Wars gender bender!  Introducing "Hannah" Solo and "Prince" Leia!

Making the trip from Disneyland that weekend were Alice and the Mad Hatter!  Needless to say, they were the only cosplayers with OFFICIAL costumes.  Kinda cheating though when you think about it.

Shred head's in the house!  Love it when I see non-turtle TMNT cosplay!  You rarely see the Shredder.  More times than not, it's Casey Jones and April.

WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! THE NATURE BOY!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!! IS IN THE BUILDING!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!  We need more wrestling cosplay at Cons!  This dude rocked!  He strutted up and down every isle yelling Ric Flair's catch phrases!  And of course, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Jedi Elvis!  Now this dude knows how to party!

Captain Zap Brannigan folks!  Guess he fell onto some hard times after Futurama got cancelled.

It just ain't a SoCal con without an appearance from the Big Boy!  I've yet to not see him at a local con!

What time is it? I'll tell you, Adventure Time cosplay has gotten so huge in the last two years.  In fact, I've seen more A.T. costumes than Super Hero recently. Muppet, WWF/E and My Little Pony cosplay has also become quite popular. Go figure?

This one's for my good friend Riki Medina of Controller Throwers.  He loves all things Baroness-related, so I always try to find a pic for him!  COBRA!!!

And that's it for the trip down memory lane.  Hope you enjoyed the pics! I'll be back early next time with all the info on where to find me at Wondercon and what I'll be selling, including a peek at my Con-exclusive CRAZY Freebies!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all later!

MUSHROOMS: "FALLING" MADLY IN LOVE!!!

Top O' the morning to ye all and Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Mike and Mindy are certainly in the spirit and hopefully all of you are too!  I know I got my Shamrock Top Hat, Shamrock Shakes and Corned beef ready and rarin' to go!

It's Mushrooms week here in the CRAZYVERSE, and we've got a great one lined up for you today!  It's a tale of true love, perseverance and of course... DISAPPOINTMENT!!!  Enjoy...

Certainly brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "Falling Head Over Heels in Love!"  Remember kids, fairy tales aren't real and neither is true love!  At least they'll now be forever united...  As imprints in the ground!

And now a special treat for my CRAZY subjects!  It's time for some Mike and Mindy Fan Art!  This time courtesy of Alex Connor!

Chandra Connor is a very dear friend of mine who herself recently did some M&M Fan Art for last month's CRAZYVERSARY.  She also helps organize charity auctions for St. Jude's Hospital, of which I recently decorated some shirts for.  She bought my book Fork In The Road for her son Alex and according to Chandra, he's been enamored with M&M ever since!  So much so that apparently he drew a shot-for-shot remake of their first comic, adding himself as a witness!  Talk about devotion!  Thanks for the Fan Art Alex!  It really made my day when I got this!  You're a cool little dude with a great future ahead!  Oh, and keep the Fan Art coming!  I wanna see where this goes!

And now, because it's St Patrick's Day, let's celebrate with two St' Patty's staples: Shamrock Shakes and heavy drinking!

Yep folks, you saw right.  GRIMACE HAD AN UNCLE!!!  And a mildly offensive one at that!  I'm curious but at what point did Grimace lose his extra arms and his desire to be evil and steal milkshakes?  Was he reformed by the power of the minty green Shamrock Shake?  And further more, WHAT THE HELL WAS GRIMACE ANYWAY?!  My brother and I used to literally think he was a giant purple turd!  The discovery of his green uncle only adds fuel to this theory's fire!  I guess the World may never know...

And because it wouldn't be a proper St. Patrick's Day without a pint or two, enjoy this ad from Guinness!

Now THIS is the true way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  I laughed so hard the first time I saw this commercial back in college.  I swear you just don't see hilarious commercials like this anymore.  Pure genius!

Well folks, that's all for this week.  I'll be back next time with a revisit of my first trip to Wondercon last year which was primarily spent watching everybody else walk around and have fun!  I still got some great pictures though and I'll share a few of them with you.  Until then, take care and PLEASE drink responsibly this weekend.  Everybody's entitled to have some fun but be mindful and safe.  You owe that to yourself too. Catch y'all later!

MIKE AND MINDY: FULLY LOADED!!!

And we're back to normal.  Or about as normal as you can get in this joint!  Welcome to March everybody!  And what better way to kick off the month than to announce my BRAND NEW BOOK Bird In The Bush: The Crazy Collection Vol. 2!  Yup, it's now available at both CreateSpace and Amazon!  I'll also be selling copies in person at Wondercon in addition to doing sketches!  So what are you waiting for?  Get your copy NOW!!!

Well, after a month of awesome Guest Strips and Fan Art, it's time to get back to the basics here.  When we last saw Mike and Mindy, those two goofs were left feeling "Flat" after another failed attempt to get to school on time!  Well, they're still at it and have hatched another plan to beat the bus.  Will it work?  Only one way to find out.  Strap in and hold on tight!  It's a New Mike and Mindy!

I guess the third time wasn't the charm for Mike and Mindy. These two are starting to rival the Chicago Cubs in terms of outrageous failures!  Nothing like a little insult to injury to really heighten the misery of blowing it yet again.  Take heart kiddos.  At least the ground was soft.  And of course, there's always next time!

Well folks, that's all for today.  I'll be back next week with a brand new Mushrooms that I'm sure will be a "Smash" hit and a special St. Patrick's Day greeting from Mike and Mindy that'll leave everybody "Green" with envy!  There's a lot of work to do getting ready for Wondercon in a few weeks.  More info will be coming as we get closer to the event, including an awesome freebie I'll be giving away!  Until then, take care and I'll catch y'all next week!
